We've received many requests from freepers requesting that other freepers not post to them. There are several problems with this.
1. It's impossible for us to enforce.
2. We don't have the time to enforce these requests.
3. We don't have the software to keep track of these requests.
4. Thick skin helps.
5. Ignore the poster, if you don't reply, they won't reply.
Free Republic does not need a bozo filter, bozo filters are for wimps.
Final note: Trolls, troublemakers, disruptors, forum pests, malcontents, RINOs, liberals, stalkers, et al, would continue posting to (harassing) someone after being asked to stop. Conservative FReepers would not.

Generally speaking, and correct me if I am wrong, but one never actually meets strangers, thus the term “stranger”. When one meets a stranger, the stranger is no longer a stranger, but someone one has met. Hence the question arises, if one types to a stranger, then does the person typed to remain a stranger or someone typed to no longer a stranger?

Good advice, but I only drink cheap beer and expensive Bourbon. Tequila makes me want to dance on table tops and post to strangers. I can’t help it.

We used that but not as much as "You crossed the line...Mom!" My sister and I shared a full bed with an imaginary line running down the middle. Arms, legs, pillows, hair....nothing was allowed to cross that line.
Car rides were worse. Our youngest sister, the baby got to sit in front, ALWAYS, leaving me, my sister and brother to share the back seat. God help anyone who crossed the line on a long trip.

Sorry, but that is a specious reply.
You have a “report abuse” function do you not? Do you not utilize that as a way to stop abusive and or unwanted perpetual postings by certain individuals. If not why have the wasted capacity?
