Last month, Insider Advantage had him leading Romney in the state 29/20. A month later, “He now barely has a heartbeat.”
When I saw Perry’s topline number of three percent, I figured the “Ponzi scheme” talk must have sent Florida’s seniors running screaming into the night. Not so. He’s actually doing (marginally) worse with other age demographics in this poll, and in the last poll he did reasonably well with the 65+ crowd, finishing second to Romney in that group with almost 23 percent. That poll was taken on September 13, which was almost a week after Romney started attacking him on Social Security, so if entitlement chatter is what’s driving this, you would have expected to see some of that show up in last month’s data. What’s killing him here, I assume, is the same thing that’s killing him everywhere — his crack about the base’s “heartlessness” on immigration plus general disappointment that the anointed Romney-killer in the race has ended up making Romney look better and better with his debate performances thus far.

I also want to see an anti fencer explain why they think the Mexican or any other people are so stupid that they don’t know that they are committing a crime and risking their lives coming across our border illegally. Seems pretty racist to think so little of their intelligence.

I get it. I understand what you’re saying. As I’ve said....I didn’t like it and my shoulders sank as I listened to her. I admire anyone who can claim a belief or faith like that. Sometimes I feel inadequate because of it.
With Perry, he’s been a good governor and I like him. I’ve never been in his presence so it’s not charisma or anything like that. I’ve never been tuned into Mrs Perry except to know she’s a good person. No one agrees with everything their elected official does. My favorite is John Cornyn. No one is more conservative and he’s infuriated me in the past. He supports Perry. He doesn’t have to. For what it’s worth, I agree with what you said for the most part. I also believe comparing Perry to Cain or Cain to Perry based on challenges faced is off the wall. I wanted all of this to play out with dignity. Thanks.

Because there is nothing negative to be said about Cain. Perry has baggage up to the sky. Don’t forget it was Perry himself who screwed this up. People who don’t support Perry could not have done a better job jettisoning his campaign. He is a big failure and it is easy for us. I am just grateful that we dodge this liberal.
