During the whole recession, lows has been mismanaged, used debt to make it look like it had sales., but not the first company to do this, They build a new store 12 miles from the old new store where I live, why, the population was not expanding. When I need something I go to the little old ladies hardware store next door, to lows and pay more for the item just because it makes me happy.

During one of the past elections, I could swear somebody posted a list of contributors to Dems and Lowes was a big one.
Sorry I can’t give more details.

I’m surprised that they’re shutting down the store in Chalmette, Louisiana. That area (south-east of New Orleans) got some of the worst damage in Katrina and is still slowly rebuilding. Even six years out, there’s still a big demand for building materials there.

I shop at Menards- I refuse to go where the whole place is signed in two languages. It's the weirdest thing... the local Home Depot added a French language option to the self-service checkout registers. Trying to camoflage the Spanish a bit, that's my guess. Either that, or they anticipate gangs of French day laborers camping in the parking lots...

Well Home Depot is better anyway.

Looks like a list of Blue States, guess Dems don’t do their own home improvement all they know is demolition of the government and our American system. Guess they couldn’t find that at Lowes.

Well I know JJ’s crash Saturday affected my fortunes personally. A local developer has been trying to get permits to build a Lowes in Eureka for years but every alphabet agency in Calif is throwing road blocks at the project. Yes, he is a major Republican contributor...

I quit shopping at Lowes here in Ohio along time ago. I found all the signs in spanish very annoying. They were everywhere.

Well, most of the closings seem to be in New England, so that is a fair assumption.
To: Beelzebubba
They discount 10% to vets. All I had for ID was an old Army hat I wear and the manager came out and made sure I got the discount. He was a young Marine Corps vet looking out for the “old” guys. :-}

And that is precisely why we only shop at Lowe's!
Before Homo Depo became a pusher of devient lifestyles, I never went to Lowe's.

I think the quality of the illegals standing in the hire line are higher at the Slowe’s I go to as opposed to the HomoDespot.
