It took me a couple of hours of reading, cogitation, and regurgitation to critique Mitt Romney's foreign policy positions. Clearly, I didn't think it was perfect, or even all that good in many places. But, I had to assess it, mull over the content... you know, think.
Now, I desperately want to be an equal opportunity blogger, and at this point Herman Cain appears to be the co-frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination. Sure, I've had my fun with him in the past, and he has no shortage of foreign policy gaffes, but I figured that impromptu utterances during debates are only one part of a candidate's overall policy vision. The thoughts that are written down, they imply some forethought. So I thought I'd go over to Cain's campaign website and spend an equal amount of time to analyze his foreign policy thinking.

These guys ripping on Cain - I’ve got a secret to share with you: He will NOT bow down to foreign leaders.
That is because of the kind of man he is (compare and contrast with Obama). Any President’s response to international events is going to be based on the best intelligence, advice and opinion from his top staff - as filtered through the President’s own sense of what is right and important. Again, just look at Obama for an example of someone who talked one way but acted another, based on WHO HE IS.
In other words, selection of a President should be like hiring a CEO for a company...you extrapolate from his past record and character, not the number white papers, fact sheets, and bullet points he’s written. That’s why WE all knew what Obama would turn out to be. You are hiring a man who will act the way you expect, based on his values, track record, and character.
Maybe the author doesn't see North Korea, China, Iran and Venezuela as potential adversaries. It is mostly a moot point that more will develop over time as others will diminish.
TROLL ALERT!!!
Divide & conquer (Alinski).
Why do you act like a lying leftist on a conservative site?
If you have something honest and intelligent to say then do so.
People who want to read dishonest nonsense are already over at DU.
I’ll take a business manager who knows how to listen to experts. I’m looking forward to Cain’s foreign policy.
Just let it roll off your back like water off the feathers of a North Carolinian duck.
The more Herman Cain nears the 2012 GOP nomination [always seen every cyle as the exclusive patrilinial territory of the RINO/Cocktail Circuit/Georgetown D.C. pundit crowd so removed from The People], the more journalistic and blogger long knives will come out for Herman Cain. It will get very very vicious, you aint seen nothing yet. This only verifies that we are on message, on schedule, on topic and on tap for seizing the Republican nomination from the RINO elite and making it a movement of the People and not that of a another John McCain/Megan McCain-type Coronation to be accepted by the Unwashed Masses from on On High, from the RNC cloth-coated powers that be.
Bring it on. Bring all these crappy articles on. Cain will have to go through it for the next, relatively short 16 weeks. Then when it turns out to be a 2012 Cain-Obama match up, most of these hit pieces on the Center/Right will disappear OVERNIGHT, mark my word. They will shut their big mouths as they know the option will be either Herman Cain (and the salvaging of our Nation), or Barack Obama (and the trashing of it). Keep cool. Go for a swim or a good movie. Send Herman a check. Say a Rosary or read a good Bible phrase. Go for a good country autumn walk and enjoy the colorful yet fallen leaves as they will poetically represent first and formost Herman's GOP primarly oponents dropping one-by-one, and then finally the big Kahuna, the phony, dejected, speechless, unrepentant Patrice Lumumba Obongo on one blessed early November night in 2012, Martial Law or no Martial Law, last minute, desperate Iran Wag the Dog or no Iran Wag the Dog. Keep your powder dry. We will have MUCH more incoming in these primary days (not to mention dirty tracks based on "opposition research), and it will be greater in intensity, rivaling any 155mm artillery barrage on your position. Another thing you can take to the bank. The primary candidates are going to sound more and more like Herman Cain. I already noted two of them clearly stealing his approach and delivery on a couple of issues. Herman should "patent" those. LOL. Have fun. Be a happy warrior like Ronald Reagan and Hubert Horatio Humphrey! Life is good! Counterrevolution tastes GREAT!
Ditto!
Don’t stoop to the level of the DU...
Yes, MEET THE PRESS host Gregory got punkd too, trying to get Cain make a mistake on foreign policy, and Cain had to explain what it takes to get all the information to make an informed decision on foreign policy.
I’ll betcha Herman Cain’s foreign policy is exactly Reagan’s: We win, you lose.
If supporting Rick Perry for president is akin to being a leftist, then please, KMA.
If not subscribing to the fringe right koo-koo theories of Alex Jones and Infowars makes me a leftist here, then I am a leftist.
On the other hand, the group here is generally aligned with my thoughts, although some don’t have the strong connection I have with Perry, so they’re cautious. All I am saying is, come on in! The water is fine. Rick Perry 2012.
