I’m thinking it’s about time to get on the Cain Train.

If Cain can sustain this, what is Romney’s mode of attack going to be? It would be interesting to see these two debating solely about their business experiences for an hour.

Romney doesn’t do attack mode very well. He’s carefully crafted this “statesman-like” persona, so when he goes on the attack, he looks incredibly petty. However Romney will hit Cain on 999, lack of political experience and lack of big donors.

The Cain Train is picking up speed!

Romney tried to hit Cain on 9-9-9 and all Romney could talk about was simple solutions do not work.

The attack on Cain for lack of political experience and big donors works really well when everybody loves politicians and the influence of money on them!

I think that people who lean to the conservative side have positively HAD IT with politicians and “Beltway Buddies”.

I KNOW I have.

My two cents on Mr. Cain’s economic proposals (“999”):

The "tyranny of the status quo" says if you're going to do implement a major change, likely to be met with fierce resistance, you do it quickly in the first 100 days or so in office. Reagan and Obama both understood this, especially Reagan because he had a hostile majority in Congress. Obama had a little more time because he had a leftist-friendly Congress.

Getting a law quickly is the key – implementing the law can be gradual. The key is to get the bill passed in the first 100 days and it must have a new flat sales tax AND complete elimination of income tax and all other taxes and most of the IRS. Implementation would of course be time-phased but it must concurrently phase in sales tax and phase out income tax and most of the IRS.

Failure to enact a law that BOTH abolishes income tax and most of the IRS AND creates a sales tax raises the spectre of getting stuck crossing the river after passing only a sales tax bill and drowning with BOTH federal sales tax and income tax - a Socialist’s dream. Implementation of course would be a concurrent phase-in and phase-out. Failure to have BOTH in the bill risks a parade of horribles.

He also seems to be missing a spending cut feature which I think he’ll need to sell this huge and essential tax cut. He might want to take a page out of Reagan's book and hire the best business minds to come to DC and noodle this and then come up with a sound proposal - shouldn't be difficult to see tremendous slashes in pure government waste.

That should all be Phase I. From there, maybe he can start pecking away at useless Cabinet departments.

“The Cain Train is picking up speed”

Hopefully it`s picking up money along the way. Cain needs campaign cash in a hurry to sustain the momentum. I donated last week and will again soon.

“Honkeys for Herman...Crackers for Cain.”

Raising Cain. Yes we Cain. Walking with a Cain. Stop the pain, elect Cain. Cain, he's not a McCain.”

Sorry. I just had a double espresso.

"The attack on Cain for lack of political experience and big donors works really well when everybody loves politicians and the influence of money on them!"

You are right about that. And you have Perry people talking out of both sides on the mouth about how Cain is a insider and then about how Cain can't raise any money. Raising money is what INSIDERS DO! Cain is no insiders, it was the insiders who did Cain in on his Senate race. I think it will turnout that the BEST thing Johnny Isakson every does for the people of Georgia and for the people of the United States was the back stabbing he did Herman Cain. It made Cain wiser, it kept him from getting connected and it made him determined to prove the 'Isaksons' of the good ol' boy network just how wrong they were about Herman Cain!

TIME FOR CONSERVATIVES TO USE OUR CLOUT: We oughta scare the sh** out of the Establishment Pubbies by "threatening" to run a Tea Party Candidate as a Third Party Candidate in 2012 if they insist on making sure that Romney gets the GOP nod in '12 like they did McCain in '08.

I heard Karl Rove backed Cains opponent too.
Threw the arm of the Republican establishment against Cain. Rove needs to just go away. Nobody is listening

I’d like to see Romney argue about political experience. What exactly is his?? First he ran for senate in year when there was a conservative tide. He failed to link himself to a governor who ended up getting 70% of the vote and he ran from conservatism. Surprise, surprise that the people chose a real liberal over a fake liberal. Then he ran for governor, got elected and worked with a liberal legislature to increase fees across the state and pass liberal legislation that was a model for Obamacare. Not a resume of experience I’d want to run on.

Romney is hollow. I hope Cain wipes the floor with him.

We can do this right now, within the GOP, by coalescing around a candidate.

The fight is between the Tea Party and the Establishment RNC.

They have Romney and we still have nothing.

If FR represents most conservatives, you can see we are still split.

If we do not get behing one conservative (as JimRob said, any of the others are superior to Romney -- even Perry), we will end up with Romney.

Given the primaries are getting earlier and earlier, we must coalesce before Thanksgiving. After that, the holidays will cause most to stop paying attention.

There is a GOP debate coming up again soon, I believe this coming week. Herman Cain will get hit from all sides this time, even more so than last. That is pefectly fine, he showed he can handle it and the business model is bearing out the market return expected around this time. What he HAS to do is agressively go on offense against TWO GUYS in this debate mid-week, and constantly pivot back to that position throughout his debate...free up some time on the "999" stuff just a sukosh so he can have more time to go after his biggest obstacles.

General Cain needs to attack strenuously and mercilessly:

Mitt Romney

and

Barack Obama.

999 is about the tax plan. Cain has a spending (cut) plan, too.
