I wanted the army that fought at Mons, the Somme, Passachendale, Cambrai, and bore the brunt of the last German counteroffensive, and who bore the brunt of the Allied offensive in 1918 that won the war, to get its proper respect and context.

I knwo you know your WW1 history, and well. Sadly too many Americans dont.

oh, it does get the respect it deserves. the sad thing is that with the new British curriculum where history is optional, many young Brits don’t know about this sacrifice.
