How can you NOT love this guy??

Herman Cain's immigration plan includes moats with alligators (Cain video on what kind of wall he would build on border. )

Love the alligator part, import from saltwater crocs for down on the coast and you are in business.

Sounds like a plan you would propose.

I like him, but being cute and clever without solid backing of what it would take bothers me. Let us not forget all the discussions during the early GWB years on this issue.
The huge amount of money it would take to actually construct such a wall. China built a huge rock wall that took a very long of time of time. And lets face it. In that time there where not explosives available to destroy portions of it. The moat of alligators... alligators caught in the immediate blast zones would have little effect from trucks loaded with cartel folks who just blew up say two or three hundred yards of fence and simply drove their trucks through.
And there are few in Congress and elsewhere to reposition the required number of Army and Marines returning from say the Iraqi conflict along a permanent boarder patrol zone, along with the whole array of drones, choppers, fixed wing piloted planes, etc.. If this was all so easy to accomplish along a thousand plus mile border, it would have already been budgeted for and accomplished. I remember many discussions here six years ago on this very issue. And it went no where. And let us not forget about the over 400 million thus far the state of Texas has forked out in order to tried to at least work toward a more secure border. So again. The head shots and foot shots by these folks will continue.

I wish it wasn’t just a joke!! Sounds like a nice idea. Those Florida gators need to explore the culinary delights of the southwest. :-D
