"Then you machine gun them and repair the hole...of course, with the proposed fencing and patrols/towers etc, that wouldn’t happen. They’d be machine gunned first."

Good night! No one is talking about using machine guns! You would need a special act of Congress to militarize the Mexican border. I am not sure that would pass the muster with our friends, the Mexican government.

Such extreme talk about mowing down illegal border crossers is an embarrassment.

The incidence of increased population from our southern border should not have had a negative impact on our economy. No, this is misdirected fault. We should not be distracted from the true cause of our economic woes: The DemonRAT Marxists who are doing everything they can to bring down our Capitalistic system.

We should be a robust economy that should be able to accommodate everyone. If we think we should slow down the influx so that the accommodation process is more manageable, we should be smart enough as the most powerful nation on earth to create a secure border. If it requires eyes in the sky, cameras, IR sensors, vibration sensors, proximity sensors, boots on the ground and the newest satellite mounted long-wavelength infra-red sensors then we must do it. No, easily defeated electric fencing with machine gun manned watch towers is old school. We don't even do it along the border between North and South Korea.

I don’t know why we don’t just start with dredging out side of the Rio Grande. Every few years we have to dredge the Delaware because it keeps silting up. Let’s widen and dredge the Rio Grande to 50’ depth, which will let us concentrate more of our patrols west of it.
