He is OK on a number of issues but once anyone starts saying that it is our fault that we were attacked on 9/11, the man becomes a political non-event. No one that I know will now vote for him due to this.

I know...Ron Paul seems to be so anti-America on certain issues. Too bad his thinking is so screwed up in some areas.

I'm not here to defend him, but this isn't quite what he said. His point (and I don't agree) was that if we hadn't stirred up trouble in the Middle East, the terrorists wouldn't have come after us. I suppose that is like one of us deliberately walking through a bad Chicago neighborhood at night, causing trouble, and getting beaten. The criminal is responsible, but we should have known better than to go there and cause trouble to begin with. I'm making up this example, but it's based on a long explanation in a book of his that I read.

I understand his point, but I think he is blind to the fact that the jihadis are bent on world domination, and we're in the way. This makes Ron Paul blind to Iran as well. Unfortunately a lot of 9/11 kooks don't see the nuance in what he says, so he becomes a kook magnet and really doesn't do anything to shake off these loons.
