Gov. Perry Unveils Jobs Plan (FULL TRANSCRIPT)
Cypress Times ^ | Oct 14, 2011 | Rick Perry

Pittsburgh: Gov. Rick Perry's Full Remarks on Energizing American Jobs

The central issue facing Americans is a lack of jobs.

The plan I present this morning, Energizing American Jobs and Security, will kick-start economic growth and create 1.2 million jobs.

It can be implemented quicker and free of Washington gridlock because it doesn't require congressional action. Through a series of executive orders, and other executive actions, we will begin the process of creating jobs soon after the inauguration of a new president.

The quickest way to give our economy a shot in the arm is to deploy American ingenuity to tap American energy. But we can only do that if environmental bureaucrats are told to stand down.

I haven’t seen one well thought out post on this thread yet; especially the smooth-talk crap shot you referenced.

You opinion, by the way, has less than zero weight. You worship a hot air artist from north mexico.

If they wanted to “un-block” their permits, they would have at least tried. They didn’t.

US Gov has the responsibility to secure the border. If your ranch happens to be there, that’t unfortunate (btw, I believe most ranchers around there support fence and security so they don’t have to live in fear).

Illegal immigration is a question of national security. Preventing it can be done and will be done, if we have serious people in White House. Bush, Perry, McCain and others are not serious. Most conservatives, such as Bachmann, Cain and Santorum, are serious.

This “can’t be done, we just have to live with it” attitude is sickening.

Besides, Perry cannot put together a coherent sentence so he would be crushed in debates and State Media interviews. He also could not defend his administration. Unless he can borrow IQ and backbone somewhere, he should just drop out and leave US alone.

The publishing of the Federal Register is not done by executive order; where did you get that crazy idea?

“electing another RINO socialist won’t come close to holding what’s left of this country together”

Your calling Perry “RINO socialist” again only shows your complete ignorance of truth or that you are shilling for Obama, by trying to make moral equivalence between him and Perry.

Cain stands ZERO chance of beating Obama — aren’t you watching the $$$$$$$$$$$$ that Obama is raising to Cain’s pennies? Cain would be massacred in the general election, but not to worry, because Cain is taking enough votes away from Perry, to help Romney be the nominee. I hope that will make you very happy.

Who is the mouse brain?

Thanks for posting. I got excited reading the transcript. I hope those who are interested in getting America back to work will skip this forum until they have read the transcript.

This is awesome and it's just a start.

So I take it you want Obama’s executive orders that are destroying the energy industry, that are now in force, to remain in force, and you don’t want Perry or any GOP President to undo them by executive order.

Congress is Congress, a coequal, not superior, branch of government. Only the executive can undo or do something that is done within the executive branch, as executive orders cover.

Is it also your position that every past President was a dictator, because past Presidents most definitely signed executive orders?

You are needing to sort things out, fiction from truth.

That is, if you are a conservative, as you say, and not just a bomb thrower with an agenda.

Guilt by association does not really work.

Cain opposes illegal immigration, and based on his statements, seem willing to do something about it. Perry is not willing to do anything and he clearly despises the stupid heartless racist americans.

E-verify works well where it has been used. Likewise for fence.

Cain specifically said he would not be Perry's VP because of his being soft on the border, issues relative to tuition for children of illegal aliens.” yet he had no problem giving money to Huck who on the same issue was far more radical then anything that Texas did. Texas gave a discount on a tax funded school that they are paying taxes to, Arkansas gives tax payers money in scholarships to pay tuition, books, living expenses, dinning, etc. That is being soft on the border. Additionally he did not exclude being Mitt's VP and that should be an issue to everyone here.

Even Newt is opposed to a government run E-Verify, it will slow us down in large populated areas if it is run by the government, and again, it is not my job to secure the border. I pay taxes for the US Government to do it, they should be doing it, not me. ID Theft would skyrocket, so what's next, business owners would have to arrest people for ID Theft if we suspect it? What other Constitutional duty will the US Government pass on to us next?

For the fence, give it up, you can't fence the Rio Grande. Anyone who thinks you can is completely ignorant of the Texas Border, it includes several large lakes. The only way to secure the border is with man power, fencing strategic areas and electronic surveillance. A fence can be dug under, climbed over and cut if there is nobody there to stop them. That is Perry's position on the border.

Come to the Texas border, spend a couple of nights there, travel the Rio Grande and then tell me that a fence will work. And if you do, you had better come well armed because you are eventually going to run into Narco-Terrorist that will want to kill you and Corrupt Mexican Army units on our side of the border who will try to kill you.

Now I'll grant you that the heartless comment was stupid, stupid, stupid. But Perry looked at it from the stand point of why we passed the law and he should have defended that by explaining it, not assuming everyone knew and understood the law.

By the way, to say that Perry is not willing to do anything about the border is either ignorance on your part (which is excusable if you want to learn the facts) or an absolute lie. Perry and Jan Brewer are the only two people in this country fighting the war on our border. My state tax dollars go to fight that war when they should be going to schools and other state issues.

That's the best you can come up with? I give you the actual facts and you throw back the equivalent of "I know you are but what am I?" LMAO

It's not about Perry, it's the issues. I am a business owner who struggles to pay employees and deal wit the Federal Government, I only survive because I am in a State that knows it succeeds because I succeed. And shouting 999 doesn't do a damn thing except change my tax code if it gets passed and throws another burden on me to make sure my employees can feed their families so they can continue to do the work I need them to do.

Oh great! We don’t need no stinking congress. Is that like “under the radar”? >>Through a series of executive orders, and other executive actions<<

Executive orders and executive actions! My oh my! Where have we heard that before?

Had you read a little more carefully, you would realize that you and I are in the same boat, and 99% in agreement on that.

Where have you seen me pushing the 999 crap?

If they wanted to “un-block” their permits, they would have at least tried. They didn’t.

They did try. What do you call filing a lawsuit in federal court against the Obama Admin if not trying? The court even ruled in their favor. The Obama Admin appealed. The court upheld the lower court's ruling and threatened to hold the Obama Admin in contempt if they didn't start issuing permits. The Obama Admin ignored the courts' rulings.

When Nixon ignored a court order, the House began impeachment proceedings.
