Face-off looms as NY protesters fear eviction

In a statement on their website, the Occupy Wall Street movement urged supporters to join them at 6:00 am (1000 GMT) on Friday at Zuccotti Park for "non-violent eviction defense."
"Bloomberg says that the park will be open for public usage following the cleaning, but with a notable caveat: Occupy Wall Street participants must follow the rules. These rules include, 'no tarps or sleeping bags' and 'no lying down,'" the statement said.
"So, seems likely that this is their attempt to shut down #OWS for good. We won't allow Bloomberg and the NYPD (New York Police Department) to foreclose our occupation."

Finally, Guiliani has come out and condemned this. I think it’s the first time he has disagreed with the corrupt mayor of NYC in about...what? 40 years?

I say let them stay. If they cause chaos, smell up the place while having a pot smokin orgie the public is going to turn against them. Or eventually they would leave once it got cold, or they would get bored if not both. Cold and bored liberal get really grouchy . They could start infighting about their message. Eventually the honeymoon is going to be over. Living in close quarters without the finer things in life will bring out the worst in them. They will start to divide up the space, make decisions that aren’t wholly agreed upon and then there will be infighting and splits in the group. The possibilities are endless on how this whole thing could blow up in their face.
Maybe they’ll show it on their livestream. Right now they’re showing clips from other protests that look like the mideast.

I hear the pigeons are planning their own sit in, they are angry that all the crumbs of food and assorted “OMG what is that”, will now be in short supply...oh the tyranny, the main pigeon spokesperson said...we are the .00001 % we pay no taxes because we live in poverty..Why should the ows demonstrators have more than us..I say take their supplies, etc,,and make them feed us everyday...they have time to do nothing and get fed for free...that’s not right said Bird Stratus(or BS) a leading pigeon spokesbirdsman...down with greedy protestors!!!!At least the wall street folks gave us popcorn..and what is that smell....awww Jeeeeez
