The Occupy Wall Street movement is getting sympathy from an unlikely person: Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).
The 2008 GOP presidential nominee said he understands the growing protest movements concerns over Washington bailouts of major financial institutions.
Down in Arizona today, Maricopa County has the highest number of homes underwater of any place in this country, he told reporters Wednesday. And its disgraceful that we took care of the financial institutions, and we did nothing about the housing crisis. So I understand their frustration.
He later quipped that he may be the only Republican does.
Anyone who merely scratches the surface of what McCain is about politically will know that this kind of support out of him is anything but “unlikely”.
Yep dumbass, you are the only one. He is an idiot.
This idiot redefines the term ‘tone deaf’. He has not a clue.
He later quipped that he may be the only Republican does.
I would hope so McLame as they are Marxist Authoritarians! Sadly your little lap dog Graham will probably be along shortly.......C’mon 2012 and 2014!
Oh geez, Senator McCain....................
I seriously doubt that the twenty somethings, the college kids, and other assorted kooks and crackpots hanging out at these Occupy Wall Street protests lost a house to foreclosure. What the heck is he talking about???????
John McCain feels protesters’ pain (”I understand their frustration”)
Good J-Boy. Resign today and ease the pain of millions.
Union thugs and paid agitators are feeling no pain, mcdumass
No one cares. McCain fails to understand he has outlived his usefulness to the media because he has lost his credibility with the public.
I suggest Mr.1% should go meet with the 99% they will eat him up:)
Sayeth a member of the Keating Five.
Wow, Mr. McCain... maybe you should... I dunno - run for PRESIDENT? Being as you're all "empathetic" and all!
Hey Juan McCain, pack off to the country of your loyalties - Mexico.
Take the fat girl with you.
Wait. Wasn't this the guy that wanted to delay a debate so he could come back and vote for TARP, the 'original sin' of bailouts that set the precedent that we have to pass every bill presented as bailing out Main Street, because we took care of Wall Street?
If McCain is not brainwashed, maybe he agreed with the North Vietnamese 95% of the time.
ps That kabukie-entertainment-for-Obama that craps on police cars; etc., is a giant advertisment for Ann Coulter's new book:
John McCommunist may be an advertisment for Ann Coulter's book, too.
Did he call them Hobbitts?
I find it hard to believe that Mr Mavrick is still calling himself a Republican. To what purpose? Perhaps being elected to public office in AZ? May he retire soon, and be replace by someone with a lick of sense. Good Golly can anyone look back to his presidential campaign and see why we are blessed with barack Obama.
John McCain could be moron of century.
...took care of banks but not the housing crisis!
TARP was all about troubled assets caused by taking care of the housing crisis nitwit!
Actually he's not.
I look at whats happening on Wall Street and my view is, boy, I understand how those people feel, he (Mitt Romney) said at a town hall event in Hopkinton, N.H.
