They could have begun by arresting Ahmedinejad in NYC , just last week. Who knew what , when ? Then why not ? We had him right here .

I think it's telling that this British news service started the article with the words:"The US Says...."
Kinda tells me they aren't buying it.

I trust the American people to understand that it is not weakness, but wisdom to talk not just to our friends, but to our enemies, like Roosevelt did, and Kennedy did, and Truman did. - Barak Osama Obama

...Mr Holder said, adding that the White House would be announcing steps against Iran in the next few hours. Let's get everyone's mind off of Fast and Furious for a while.

“Iran has denied involvement with the plot, and the official Islamic Republic News Agency (Irna) called the plot a “propaganda campaign” by the US government against Tehran.”
At this point in time,,,, I ain’t buyin’ it, and am believing Iran until disproven.

...Mr Holder said, adding that the White House would be announcing steps against Iran in the next few hours. So in addition to not doing his own job, he now gets to not do the Secretary of State's job. Why is he and not Hillary announcing steps against Iran?

I may be crazy, but I wouldn’t put a Wag the Dog scenario by this desperate megalomaniac of a “president”. What would be more convenient than an attack on Iran. They’ve now given him the pretext. He can say that he reached out with an open hand to the Mullahs and the response was a closed fist.
Not saying it will happen, but a nice bombing campaign to take out Iran’s nuc program would be well received here and abroad. He’s be a decisive, wartime leader just as the elections were rolling around. Again, I don’t think it will happen, but the timing of all this is very curious, plus the ultra-public splash similarly raises eyebrows (just a diversion from Fast & Furious, or is there more there?????)

According to SkyNews:
Mr Holder said the US government would be taking unspecified action against the Iranian government. He said the Justice Department was not accusing the top echelons of the government of blessing the operation. The Treasury Department has already imposed economic penalties against four people linked to the alleged plot.
A little confusing. He hints at action at the government level, but the main thrust is that individuals committed a criminal act.

Gut instinct - I don't believe this story. Holder needs to appear indispensable right now because of Fast and Furious. Oboma does
not want to get rid of his Marxist buddy. Together, they can rule the world. What better way to do that than make him our savior? Our Protector! We need him!
Reality is what they tell us it is - If you dare question it, there's something wrong you.
I only believe about 10% of what the MSM reports. Why should I believe the Oboma administration any more than that?
Fast and Furious - do NOT allow it to disappear! Holder must remain accountable.

I don’t see what Iran would gain from this. They would obviously be the culprits and this would be an act of war. They are gaining power in the region every day and don’t need a war to cotinue to do so.
This doesn’t make sense. Wag the dog?

And soon they’ll have nukes to work with - but still the Obama administratiion manages to find every excuse to do nothing.
Bear in mind that when the nukes go off on American soil, killing vast numbers of Americans, a Republican will no doubt be blamed by both the Democrats and the media.

Does Iran have a baby milk/aspirin factory that needs destroying?
To: LeoWindhorse
Hmmm...so this guy thought he was contacting a Mexican Drug Cartel to help him in this operation. I wonder if he was going to have them use
the guns our government supplied the cartels as a part of the attack.
Seems to coincidental to me.

I'm with you. All of a sudden the pansy-in-chief has become a war hero.
This just gives the lamestream cover for not covering F&F and Solyndra.
Although painful to admit, I actually have more trust in Amadinejad than Obama.

Agreed, Basil. I think it’s much more likely to be a subpoena subversion tactic.
