Why? If we support such a piece of trash Rino as Perry why do you think we would back Cain and not Romney?

I wonder if they’re going to keep screaming that if we don’t support Perry we’re going to get Romney and that Cain will never beat Romney hyperventilate....!

Today’s debate (and the talk on that in the next few days) is the defining moment for Cain.

If he does well, he will emerge as the frontrunner and is seen as realistic GOP nominee.

This is also crucial test for Perry. If he can memorize more than 1 attack line, possible comprising two coherent sentences put together, he may be able to continue (and run for Pres of Mexico in 2014?).

Romney is not looking strong. No matter how many candidates or potential candidates drop out, their supporters are looking for someone else and not turning to Romney. Mitt is a last choice for many who are trying to find an electable alternative (and not even a last choice for me - Romney will not get my vote because his big government views are too close to Obama’s). We just need to identify a single conservative or even moderate candidate who can win the nomination and the general election and then unite behind that not-Romney, not-liberal candidate. The purpose of the primaries and pre-primary debates is to help us find that best candidate, and this is working as designed.

Perry should drop out. He’s only helping Romney at this point.

Interesting. I suppose you are from South Carolina. Do you know if the SC primary is open, semi-open, or closed?

I love that picture. The Cains make me smile.

Me too. Herman and Gloria Cain have been married for 43 years and have two children. Herman Cain's early family life is quintessentially American... SO different from the weird, mysterious, yet-to-be-fully-known mess that was Obama's early years.

I like to start the day with a smile.

Maybe we're just hoping you'll come to your senses. Hope springs eternal.

Romney can beat Obama and maybe Perry supporters are Rino's too.

By the way, I am not convinced Cain is a serious candidate. Oh, about a quarter or less of the Republican primary voters like him in October but I am not convinced he is in it to win it.

What’s the matter with these people? Haven’t they heard the declarations from the bonehead pundits and the lamestream media that it’s a race just between Romney and Perry? < /sarcasm >
