Mitt Romney Suggests Herman Cain May Not Be Ready For The Oval Office
ABC News ^ | 10/10/11 | Michael Falcone

Mitt Romney typically plays nice with presidential rival Herman Cain. But at a town hall here on the eve of Tuesday’s presidential debate, Romney managed to slip in a subtle swipe. Romney drew a contrast between his resume, which includes four years as governor of Massachusetts, and Cain’s, which does not include elected office. After talking about his experience going from Bain Capital to the governor’s mansion, Romney suggested that Cain was, perhaps, not quite as ready as he is for the Oval Office. “I was able to find ways to use my skills in a public sector setting, probably something — if I were Herman — I’d say I wish I had that too because you don’t want to necessarily learn that for the first time as the president of the United States,” Romney said.

This thing is just starting. Stop “winner take all” primaries. They are rule by minority socialists in the Republican party. Stop them now!!

Please allow me to add to your cogent observation ...

Herman Cain believes in America, the America the 'occupy' union thuggery despises. Herman Cain also believes in The Lord. ['Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom' and once the fear subsides the relationship begins, because God's Spirit keeps the Promises of God. So, Herman Cain is in the most important relationships a Man in Full can enjoy: Herman is being true to His Lord, True to his wife, and true to the Republic.]

Might I add, Herman Cain is not now nor has he ever been A LAWYER! How refreshing to have a conservative man being true to the real values of America, running for the Republican Party nomination. If he gets enough of our votes, he may even find ways to bring the party back to traditional values. We can Hope and Pray with him that he gets the chance.

If Herman Cain at his age and after all he has accomplished is willing to give up five or six years of his remaining life to serve this Republic with conservative leadership, by golly I will work to follow him in the work! Career politicians are the reason We The People are so ignored by the elites in Washington, DC. Time for them to go!

While it is no conspiracy, Mitt is happy Cain is helping take out the conservative opposition to him. Cain will be an easy target for Romney if it comes down to the two of them. When the time comes, Romney will raise all sorts of questions about Herman’s electability - and GOP primary voters will go for the safest option. Cain has not shown he can translate solid polling numbers into money, and he still doesn’t have anything near the state organizations to beat Mitt.

People are going to regret piling so much hate on Perry. I suspect he is the only one who can really prevent Romney from getting the nomination. If he gets knocked out, the Cain dream will likely collapse once the actual primary voting begins and we end up with Romney - whom Cain will endorse just like he did last time around.

Is anyone truly ready for the Oval Office? What I see in Herman Cain is a man that not only believes in his abilities but truly believes in this country. He believes that Americans are exceptional, can accomplish anything they want and he believes that we can work together as one if we want to. We haven’t seen that in a candidate for a long time. He wants to place America back on top of that hill in the worlds eyes. I believe this guy has it right and can lead us back to what this country is all about.

I believe Herman Cain is the right man for the job. He will get my vote in the primary and that being said, can he carry the Europe vote the way Otrauma did in ‘08?

Mitt Romney is a spoiled brat that would want anyone elected, including Obama, rather than Rick Perry.

and Rick Perry is a spoiled brat that would want anyone elected, including Obama, rather than Mitt Romney.

This is the kind of “experience” I want in the White House? Two ego manics looking for power where ever they can find it?

I'll take Herman Cain, thank you. A man who has looked death in the face and said “No Thank You” I've got work to be done for My Country before I come home.

GO HERMAN! I Love You!

Amen to all that.
Mr.Cain is the UnPolitician, and as you said, not a stinkin’ lawyer!
If I get the chance, I will vote for him.
I am seriously considering making a donation to him this week. He and Bachmann are the only 2 I can support.

Cain’s response should be to question if he really wants to bring up his record as Gov, seeing how he’s reversed himself on that record, so, so, SO many times...

I wish! Winner take all is a bad joke, and anathema to a fair political system. I am afraid that Milt will win, but he will be so hated by a large percentage of Republicans that SOMEONE is going to mount a 3rd party charge. No, not Sarah. But this would ensure that the Kenyan Failure would win a second term. Bob

Mitt is using Dem tactics ... again; attempting to destroy the opposition instead of standing on his own credentials. Pathetic little weasel.

Sounds like you are supporting a conspiracy. Mitt would stand a chance in a one on one debate with Cain. Any fool would see the differences.

Milt will not win if we kill “winner Take all”. Mc Amnesty never got 51% in any primary. Milt will win where ever Dem socialists can cross over— California— New York with less than 51%. We must stop “Winner Take all” This is absolutely crucial. It is the death of conservatism. STOP WINNER TAKE ALL !! it favors the LIBERAL WING OF OUR PARTY.Open up the convention— get some pop corn and take off work!! Let’s have a brawl at the convention and get rid of these liberals. Cain Rocks!! Newt Rocks. Bachmann Rocks!! Santorem Rocks, Paul has great ideas!! Give them their delegates and lets go to the OK coral!!Shut down “winner take all”!!

I’m from New York and even I know to never, ever trust a northeast republican. The debate is not whether they are RINO’s - just how deeply their liberal leanings lie.

What must have Romney really worried is that the second choices for the Cain and Perry supporters are each other. Hardly any of their supporters will move to Romney iftheir favorite drops out.
