Some talk of flavor of the month, but there is a difference between Perry and Cain. Perry’s rise was before he was seen in debates and Cain’s was after he was seen in debates.

I wonder if Romney will go after Cain at tomorrow’s night debate like he went after Perry? I doubt it as they know Cain is quick on his feet.

He got in trouble for moats and alligators comments earlier in the campaign. Yes, he has made statements.

Romney won’t bother with Cain. In politics, you don’t ever shoot down. It will be another Romney/Perry slugfest, with Perry on offense and the other candidates watching.

Cain’s position on illegal immigration is the same as Perry and Romney. Secure the border. Enforce current law.

Exactly! And supporting Romney is taking Obama Care issue off of the table since Obama Care was modeled after Romney Care.

Romney = McCain 2.... So if you do not want Obama elected another 4 years, then do not vote for Romney.

Perry can’t debate for a long time and Romney takes the Health care issue off the table.

Sorry but it’s Cain all the way.

ONE more thing.... Obama can’t play the race card with Herman Cain.

I’m likely to vote for Cain in the primary, and I may even vote for him in the general, whether or not he gets the nomination (I’ll write him in rather than voting for Romney), but I’m not convinced he’ll be a great president. He has my support because he is a good man with normal values, and I believe he won’t be a terrible president, which is a HUGE step up from the drug-addled thug currently occupying our White House. Perhaps we could do better, but “better” isn’t running. I’ll take the best that we can get.

I think it's more spontaneous bandwagon enthusiasm than organization at this point. One of my hesitances about Cain is that there still isn't much organization to his campaign. And he lacks money. Those are fixable, but continuing to run his campaign as a book tour isn't going to get it done. He needs to get serious, really serious, fast.

It's even conceivable that raw enthusiasm among core conservatives could carry him to the nomination. But then he'd have to cobble together a general election campaign team and strategy (and sufficient money to keep Obama's billion dollars from overwhelming his message) in almost no time. That's like trying to put together a viable Superbowl contender without the benefit of the team having ever played together until a month before kickoff.

I love his message, his personality, and his focus. I am deeply concerned that he just doesn't seem to understand what it will take to move his campaign to the next level. Many of his supporters don't have a clue either if they think he can win without a top tier team, several hundred million dollars in the bank, and carefully constructed and executed strategy.

Winning a big election on a wing and a prayer only happens in dime store novels and movies.

I don't know if he's introduced a plan for how he would handle illegal immigration, but there hasn't been anyone this close to the White House who talks against it like he does ever since I have been following politics.
He said if Perry won the nomination he wouldn't endorse him and used the instate tuition for illegals as one reason.

He also had this to say in a Newsmax interview about the Arizona law, On the issue of illegal immigration, Cain told Newsmax he wants to empower the states so they can enforce their own policies.“I wouldn't’t have sued Arizona,” he said, referring to the backlash against the law known as SB 1070. “I would have sent them a medal.”

Border control remains the responsibility of the federal government, but in the absence of proper enforcement, the matter should be turned over to the states, Cain told Newsmax.

“We have got to close off our borders because if we do not, we are not going to be able to deal with the other problems of enforcing the laws that are here,” he said. “One of my proposals is to empower the states to deal with the illegals that are already here.”

It's ridiculous, but that's something none of the most recent Presidential candidates on either side would have said. Cain's the first serious candidate who looks like he might win this thing that has spoken out on an issue like this that is in line with what the majority of Americans believe. The link below is the Newsmax article.

I have copied and pasted from Herman Cain’s website what he says on immigration. It’s not the same as Perry, who called us heartless and doubled down on that statement, or Romney who we all know will not do squat.

Cain on illegal Immigration (Herman Cain Website)

1) Secure the border with more boots on the ground. (Sep 2011)

2) We have a path to citizenship: it’s called legal immigration. (Aug 2011)

3) Not right to sue Arizona for trying to protect themselves. (Jun 2011)

4) Secure our borders; enforce our laws. (May 2011)

5) Where’s the fence? Not in the Immigration Bill!. (Jun 2007)

Romney is ahead of Cain by 18% in New Hampshire. So much for straw polls.

A lot can happen in a matter of weeks, much less mos. Cain is surging. Romney may well win NH anyway—and it may be the high watermark of his second failed bid.

I don’t think Herman Cain would ever give instate tuition to criminals since he has said that’s one of the main reasons he would never support Perry. Perry has already lost this thing, but if he somehow won I won’t be voting for him. No more pro-illegal immigration politicians will get my money or support. I’m heartless in the eyes of Perry because I want to end something that’s literally destroying my country. That disgusting piece of trash needs to drop out of the race and go back to Texas and pander to criminals instead of representing the legal citizens of Texas.

I hope Sarah Palin endorses him. I think it's time for some of the Conservative Republicans running for the nomination who are losing badly to drop out and endorse Cain. I think most people knew the other candidates a lot better than they did Cain which is why he shot up in the polls when people heard more about him and his political views. I think the others are known well enough that they aren't going to get a significant spike in the polls because more people knew about them and their positions long before the primaries compared to Cain.

I think the Conservative Republicans who are pretty much out of the race to formally drop out and endorse and support Herman Cain. We need everyone getting behind him as soon as possible so he can start bringing in more money and getting help with his campaign.
