Hendrix was great, the best? Debatable for sure, unlike global warming. The first name that pops in my head Eric Johnson, throw in Ry Cooder, Randy Rhodes, Steve Vai. I could probably name 20 worth debating.

thanks for the link. I know what you mean. However, Hendrix has mythologic proportion, so you just can’t make comparisons, heheh.
Vai was in this year’s Experience Hendrix tour. Doing the usual Steve Vai stuff. Neat shows, lots of good musicians working hard. Maybe a little too much emphasis on the stunt guitar, everybody forgets he was a bluesman too, but definitely fun.
