Dozens of people rallied at a "Harlem Tea Party" Sunday in support of President Obama's reelection bid - and called for a more civil tone in the presidential race.
"This is a Harlem tea party," said Chet Whyte, director of Harlem 4 Obama. "This is about 'civilitea.' But don't let the smooth taste fool you."
"Our premise is that we have allowed the Tea Party to shape the debate," Whyte said. "We're going to take back the definition of tea party. They wanted to define us, we're redefining them."
Whyte said Harlem 4 Obama members would heed the example of those who peacefully demonstrated during the Civil Rights Movement.
"In their quiet dignity, they went up against dogs and firehouses in Selma," Whyte said. "They came back with the moral authority."
Oscar Carter, 65, of Harlem, told the crowd: "President Obama, we want you to know, Harlem has your back!"

like a marionette flailing in a hurricane... Hurri-Cain? Hmmm...
Firehouses? The nitwit has confused firehouses and fire hoses.
Isn’t that cute? I wonder if they had nut cups?

Wow! Does he ever have his work cut out for him. I hear Harlem is close to going Republican in 2012. (Do I really need the sarcasm tag?)

Dozens; huh? Wow! Who did crowd control?
“We’re going to take back the definition of tea party.”
You mean to say The Harlem Tea Party wants Smaller Government, Balance Budget and Stop the Spending your grandchild’s future. NOT.
You mean they are going to support the 50%-White/45%-Muslim/5%-African-black/100%-Marxist candidate over the 100%-Black/pro-jobs-for-ALL-including-"Black-Americans" candidate? (double-sarcasm-tag)
But it’s not about race. /s
I wonder if they paid people to show up... like Occupy did.... Here’s an ad from Craig’s list - wanting to HIRE people to protest for ‘Occupy”...

In their over exuberance to continue on that wonderful tradition........They went against common sense and dignity..acting like wild Dogs....And they came back with the knowledge that....”Moral Authority” is a concept that has a cost most weren't ready to pay!
Love your Post #8.
Wa Wa Wa. They sound a bunch of bratty kids.
Dozens showed up. Wow, enough to take your breathe away. Actually dozens of people (no not hundreds, thousands, or tens of thousands) in support of the Food Stamp President. I wonder if the Hunger Muppet was in the crowd? Notice how the Hunger Muppet came into existence on the Food Stamp President’s watch. Maybe the Food Stamp President can inspire the Jobless Muppet, the Fast and Furious Muppet, the Solyndra Muppet, the Slow Joe Muppet, etc.
Dozens of people who are going to vote for the Kenyan having a rally to talk each other into voting for the Kenyan. Yeah. That makes sense.
Truly blinded idiots... the TEA Party is about restoring the nation back to the Constitution——not slavery. All this race baiting carp is nothing but a smokescreen to hide the stark reality.
How original.
...and called for a more civil tone in the presidential race... Whyte said Harlem 4 Obama members would heed the example of those who peacefully demonstrated during the Civil Rights Movement. "In their quiet dignity, they went up against dogs and firehouses in Selma," Whyte said. "They came back with the moral authority."So much for their lies about civility.
