IRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) Terrified by Alabama's strict new immigration crackdown, parents living in the state illegally say they are doing something that was unthinkable just days ago asking friends, relatives, co-workers and acquaintances to take their children if they're arrested or deported.

"We're afraid to go back to Mexico because of the drugs, the cartels and the killings," Gonzalez said. "And we are afraid to stay here because of the law."

Wouldn’t the best plan be to deport themselves and children so they are not split up.
Wouldn’t the best plan be to deport themselves and children so they are not split up. Or at the very least they can haul their asses to one of the liberal states.
Alabamas tough new immigration law, most of which was upheld by a federal judge last week, is having its intended effect: Illegal aliens are leaving the state, and their children are disappearing from schools.
Two news reports show that illegal aliens, who cost Alabama taxpayers some $300 million annually, have read the handwriting on the wall: No more hiding; the free ride is over.
Unfortunately, Tennessee is bordering Alabama and they are running north.
Agreed, it’s mostly the progressives whining because their only hope of gaining any new traction in the red states is to flood them with poor illegal aliens. Proving once again what they really think of the middle class.
