I share your guess. I’ve seen it in action - the paulbots come into an area that is rife with pubbie malaise and overwhelm their opponents at the caucus level. This gives them a certain sort of credibility as they can then nominate precinct level officers and conduct their own little coalition building.

I don’t care for them but I’ll give them credit where credit is due - they know how to work the process.

Ya think? Paul has to walk a fine line with these straw polls(The only polls he has a chance of winning). He has to supply his robots with enough dope to keep them interested, but not so much that they forget to vote.

Oh yeah, you see 'em on Ron Paul Forums planning their straw poll spamming activities. They spam the living daylights out of these meaningless polls and then wet their pants and start telling us how Ron Paul is going to win the nomination.
