Rep. Ron Paul of Texas turned out his well-organized crop of supporters Saturday and won a presidential preference straw poll with 37% of the vote.

Coming in second place in the poll of social conservatives at the annual Values Voter Summit was retired pizza chain executive Herman Cain, who pulled in 23% of the vote.

Nah, Paul can't win. If I had to guess I'd bet a bunch of youthfully paulbots (aka college mush heads) were bussed in to the value voters voters forum and skewed the straw poll.

Oh yeah, you see 'em on Ron Paul Forums planning their straw poll spamming activities. They spam the living daylights out of these meaningless polls and then wet their pants and start telling us how Ron Paul is going to win the nomination.

I thought McCain was dead the night of the primaries, but states like ours (Illinois) had so much cross-over voting in open primaries that McCain was elected as our candidate (in this state) by the dems.

Obama will have no primary, so there is a good chance that Romney will become the Republican candidate because of open primary states.

The dems will stop at nothing to pick our candidate for us.

By out-breeding us 8 to 1. We're not having enough children to sustain our own population, so we're in decline while the mozlims are invading our country with jihadi babies.

They don't have to get past anything. We have allowed them to immigrate, and eventually, they will outnumber us here.

If the Demwits weren't so interested in seizing and keeping power by letting our enemies overrun us with their numbers and their votes, we wouldn't be in this mess.

It is as if we had let the Germans, Italians, and Japanese immigrate at will during the second world war.

"Come on in and take over!," is the message the left is shouting to the world. They're traitors, and if we allow them to succeed, they will get what they deserve, and so will we for not stopping them.
