Interesting exchange on Twitter within the past hour:

Jim Irsay Al Davis was a wild card maverick, the NFL Brando! His litigious ways against his partners did tarnish, but his visionary ways still shine/RIP

Richie Field @JimIrsay Al’s litigious ways paved the way for your pops to pack up the Mayflower and head to Indy.

Ralph Wilson sent $200,000 to Oakland to save the franchise when it was about to go under in the early days of the AFL. So it stayed in Oakland until the grass looked greener in LA. When the grass turned brown Al moved back to Oakland. The Buffalo Bills are still in Buffalo and Wilson is 92 years old. Wilson has been faithful to the league whether it was the AFL or the NFL and kept his team in a small market. I will go with Wilson as one of the best owners ever in Professional football. Al Davis was, um, just colorful. Black is a color after all.
