None of the people bitching about her actions had face down a wolf.

I really think America is becoming collectively insane. 100 years ago this would have been a no-brainer.
Wolf attacks woman, woman shoots wolf - end of story.

Until I read the article I thought she shot the wolf dead with her bow! I am still impressed with her shooting, though, Seeing a wolf coming straight at you would be intimidating.

"wolf advocates" = people with psychotic delusions that wolves are just furry friendly people and who frequently also think Bambi is a nature documentary and who usually live in cities. These people are dangerous and should be avoided.

Sounds like a "wolf" game warden just coming over to bite ~ or check to see if she had an elk license!!!!
Or, maybe he was joining in the hunt ~ humans and wolves having a common interest ~ the wolf gets the guts and the human gets the steaks and chops.

Can’t blame her a bit. A wild animal (especially a predator with lots of nasty sharp pointy teeth), willingly coming that close to a human being is trouble.

If a wolf comes within 10 feet of you.... I certainly agree with you on that. In fact, I would go farther to suggest that any predator that comes close enough to be killed by a handgun deserves to die.

"For whatever reason, he had insisted that she carry her .44 Magnum Smith & Wesson Model 29 revolver." Whatever reason? How 'bout bears, wolves or to finish off a wounded elk?

Not sure why she was out there without a sidearm, I’m sure she will from now on.
I remember all the screaming when the Nat’l Parks lifting their gun ban that nobody was obeying. If I have to use my .44 on a bear, they can come arrest me for it if they can find me. At least I lived through the encounter. Heading out into bear country unarmed is like putting on lipstick, writing “bitch” on your forehead, and parading around a prison cellblock.

I guess some people think she should have let it bite her before defending herself. Plus, she had a wolf tag so I don’t see what the problem is.

I love wolves.
That said, if they threaten you shoot, shovel and shut-up.
Just like I do with cats! :)

It’ll be interesting to see what the reaction of these Leftist nutjobs is when a hiker, biker, or a child gets killed one of these big dogs. The crickets will probably be chirping for a while and then the victim will probably be blamed. Then there will probably be calls by the Leftists to get people to move away from those areas.

If a wolf comes within 10 feet of you, and knows that you are there, it is a dangerous situation. The environmentalist don't agree.
I think some testing is in order to be able to determine who is right.
Question: should we allow the volunteer guinea pig environmentalist a bow?

Funny story, she shot wolf, first shot in side of head 44 mag, but had to shoot a bunch more to kill it. ROFLOL, think I will throw the flag on that one. Having spend a few minutes hunting, I can tell you it is almost impossible to still hunt and walk up an elk and get in bow range. Glade she did not get bit.
The little woman had a bear and its babies come out on her once , deer hunting, she shot the hell out of a bunch of trees.
