North Carolina Republican congressional candidate Vernon Robinson denounced Texas Gov. Rick Perry's immigration stance outside, as his statement described it, "a Mexican Restaurant which hosts a $1000 a plate fundraiser for fatcats undoubtedly celebrating continued access to cheap drywall and other 7 million jobs held by illegals while 14 million Americans look for work."
"If Governor Perry's amnesty policy is adopted, it will mark the first time a Texan has surrendered to Mexico in 175 years," continued Robinson. Robinson called for using troops to secure the border, implementing e-Verify, cutting off welfare to illegal immigrants, an end to ballot printed in Spanish and other foreign languages, rescinding birthright citizenship, and restricting the jurisdiction of federal judges who stand in the way.

"North Carolina Gov. Bev Perdue (D) has vetoed a Voter-ID bill passed by the Republican-controlled state legislature. The proposed law was part of a wave of similar bills that have been pushed by Republican-led legislatures in the wake of the 2010 elections. Like those, it would have required voters to show certain approved forms of photo identification at their polling places, or else cast provisional ballots and then have to prove their eligibility later.
"This bill, as written, will unnecessarily and unfairly disenfranchise many eligible and legitimate voters," Perdue wrote in her veto announcement."
Yes.
Perry in his own words:
I don’t know that wetback really worked.
I recall lots of migrant mexican field workers in Ohio back in the 60s
One thing is different between now and then and that is that is the Nationality and immigration act of 1965.
Prior to 65 migrant workers came here to do work and then returned home.
Now they stay.
Have you read that speech?
Oh boo hoo hoo! HE hurt my feelings and now I will hate him forever and tell everybody over and over how much he offended me.
Puhleeze!!!!!! Give it a rest
But Perry is Romney’s stalking horse.
“Have you read that speech?”
yes, have you?
“President Foxs vision for an open border is a vision I embrace” -Rick Perry
“If Governor Perry’s amnesty policy is adopted, it will mark the first time a Texan has surrendered to Mexico in 175 years...”
I LOVE IT. One of the best quotes of the campaign season.
There are quite a few stipulations in there that you left out.
“My vision of the border is one of machine gun nests and fear”. Barnacle Centurion
Ay, carumba-----and don't forget, the pukeneos got Perry by the *****. The pukes love those incoherent Texas governors b/c they're so easily duped.
God only knows what the pukes are planning globally.....after all, they orchestrated several $trillion dollar Mideast debacles. The pukes never saw an immigrant they didn't like.....probably orchestrating reconquista.
Didn’t hurt my feelings the least bit, his mouth just relegated himself to irrelevance is all.
“I see a full court press by Romney/Cain to destroy Perry. We will see if it works.”
I don’t like Perry. But that’s because Romney is just a duded up version of Perry, and I wouldn’t vote for either of them. Romney has the same pro-amnesty beliefs Perry does. Notice that his campaign site has zero about immigration, and that his public statements on the issue of amnesty are full of weaselly language. Like “no special pathway towards citizenship for those who broke immigration laws.” Never mind that this still leaves plenty of room for him to approve a pathway towards citizenship for those who broke immigration laws! Whenever they won’t make a clear statement that they’ll end birthright citizenship, and no amnesty, no illegal citizenship ‘pathways,’ and no Dream Act will going to be allowed under their administration, you know they’ll give away the farm given the chance.
I volunteer to do the stitching. I promise he won’t like it.
Well that’s the problem, isn’t it? Turning the illegals over to ICE. Nothing more than catch and release.
Perry is done as a candidate. Any rational person can see that.
“Also we are being sued by the Feds for Perrys aggressive redistricting of voter precincts.”
That has nothing to do with immigration, that’s just a leftist DoJ opposing anything Republicans do. And it wasnt Perry but the Texas lege who drew the map.
“It seems illegal loving Perry is disenfranchising illegals and democraps.”
Rule of law really cramps the Dems style, doesnt it.
“Perry is solidly on the books as being against illegal immigration.”
Right. So was Bush.
I notice that you left out a little bit there. Why don't you post the whole section in its context. I can probably guess as to why you didn't do that. It might undermine your attack.
Wrong, Perry destroyed himself with his poor debate and stances on illegal immigration
Unfortunately, you have to get used to it, because these folks have their talking points, and facts or no, they're not giving them up.
