Thanks, Publius, for your passage through the Greenaway-Cooke songbook. Good tunes. Thanks for sharing with the troops. ((HUGS))

I’m not really on the thread as the action in America today has me captivated but being on your list makes me very special. Thank You!

Sidenote: Jeff almost starts this one in the wrong key for Leo's sax! He compensates flawlessly and manages to make Leo sound like he knows what he's doing. (Something tells me Leo has played "Night Train" a time or two.)

I’ll see whose songbook would be fun for next time. Tony Hatch? Jimmy Webb? Tony Romeo? Barry Reid? Should be fun.

Thanks, AZ, for the red, white, and blue tribute.

Hope you had an easy commute. *HUGS*

The circles went well, in fact easy for a change.

Sidenote: Saturated in Reverb, "Catman" illustrates the only "effect" Jeff uses in his rockabilly bag of tricks.

I’m glad you liked it.
My theme is songs with the word “night” in them.
(not sure if anybody picked up on that)
LOL

It's been a night for themes. Night, trains, Greenaway and Cooke...

I'm going to go thru the Phil Ochs songbook to see if there is anything good that won't insult our military folks.

It looks like it's time for the graveyard shift to take us through 'tillmorning when I'll be back with some more Jeff Beck that I didn't play last week, including selections from The Secret Policemans Other Ball with Sting & Eric Clapton, Jeff's tribute to Jimi Hendrix at the Songs Of Experience festival at London's Royal Festival Hall, some tour dates with Buddy Guy and some projects with Joss Stone, Sheila E., Cyndi Lauper and Mick Jagger and some surprises.

Sidenote: When Gene Vincent first released this "breathy" song it caused such a scandal that it was banned from most radio stations. Legend says he was even arrested on obscenity charges for performing it onstage in Norfolk, VA, but like most legends, that probably isn't true, and the rumor was likely started by his manager, but it generated enough of a groundswell that the song was banned in Boston and from there the dominoes continued to fall. Of course, banning it just made his teen-aged fans claimer for it all the more! It's really tame compared to today's music, but in the early 50s it was SCANDAL.

Woman Love
