The legislative process is so convoluted. I was just trying to track it down using some links that were upthread. When I find anything that helps make sense of it I’ll post it ocasionally.
And S. 1619 is summarized as a “China currency manipulation” bill. I don’t know what that’s about, but I think I read that Mitch McConnell tried to attach the Jobs bill to it as an amendmnet earlier this week...and then we heard about Reid blocking it.
A sad day for democracy, just one more in yur face from the Dems and Mitch is clueless, ballless and stuned. Par for the course.
the Gop needs to die by its own hand and idiots that lead it today assure it will happen sooner not later.
Jmho from Roma.
Rino’s: Brown (MA),
Burr (NC),
Chamblis (GA)
Cockran (GA),
Collins (Maine),
Graham (SC),
Issacson (?),
Portman (OH),
Sessions (AL),
Shelby (AL),
Snow (Maine)
These are the people who need to be targeted for political elimination. These are the people that need to have their electorate told that they were sold down river. Also, these senators finances need to gone over with a fine tooth comb, because they are being paid off...big time.
Apparently there were two votes one of which was the "nuclear" option. DeMint said they needed to remain united for both votes. I'm not sure I understand but you can listen to Mark and DeMint talking about it here:

Reid triggers nuclear option to change Senate rules, end repeat filibusters
This is war, folks. I don’t know what part of that fact and reality some in America still don’t “get”. The battle is America against the assault of leftism. And we better win it in 2012.
That’s a good start!
Bring it on. Better now, while most Americans are still enraged at the DemocRats, than later.
Who was the “Independent” that voted with the rats?
Bernie Sanders of Vermont is a self-described democratic socialist, and has praised European social democracy. He is the first person elected to the U.S. Senate to identify as a socialist.
Sanders caucuses with the Democratic Party and is counted as a Democrat for the purposes of committee assignments, but because he does not belong to a formal political party, he appears as an independent on the ballot. He was also the only independent member of the House during much of his service there.

That’s how I see it and is yet another indicator that the Dems see the writing on the wall. Their days are numbered and so are trying to do as much damage as they can while they have a little time left. “Frantic” describes all their panicy little moves and remember these other dunderheads can’t really do much as long as we have a good crowd of tea party types blocking new money in the House.
Here comes AMNESTY for the undocumented persons!
And yet, McConnell will still try to reach across the aisle the next time, and the time after that, and the time after that.McConnell LIKES getting kicked in the face by Democrats.
"Again! Again! Again! I LIKE it!"
