ROTfLOL
. . . directed him back to his seat . . .
This along with a nice pillow, complimentary cocktails, 2 fee passes for a future flight, foot massage from the flight attendant, and free use of the “Air Phone”. We would not want this guy to file a lawsuit for “racial profiling” or Islamic insensitivity”.
As you point out, had in been an 85 YO Grandmother who, because of her dementia, was confused, she would be in a headlock or strapped to the seat at a minimum.
Probably just some lone-wolf upset with Obamacare and behind on his mortgage.
The Arabs, it is well known, drink a lof of tea. Another tea partier!
Well he now ‘gets’ to sue everyone, right? He can sue the passenger for assault, the Stewardess for profiling, the captain for discrimination and ...well the list is endless, right?
Often on threads like these, someone will say that this might be a training run - to see how the crew reacts. Note that this guy got treated like a lamb. So will the next sudden jihadi syndrome types pretend to be special needs or handicapped in some way?
Not sure why the question on the table relates to grandmothers and goats.
But I’ll ping the expert.
I hope he broke the allah dude’s arm in the process.
nappytano is too busy looking for white Christian patriotic terrorists.
LLS
Gee you mean the TSA gumshoes didn’t detect this guy before he got on the plane? The TSA record of 100% failure in detecting and thwarting terrorist or possible terrorist attacks is still intact.
“The TSA record of 100% failure in detecting and thwarting terrorist or possible terrorist attacks is still intact.”
Did the police find a weapon on him after they landed? I didn’t read about that.
:O) me too
Recommend these weapons be passed out to pilots for attempted entries onto flight-decks by saudis. Nip it ... Nip it in the bud!
I'll bet you also didn't read about TSA finding the shoe bomber's weapon, nor the underwear bomber's weapon, nor Farid Seif's loaded Glock... (See: Gaping Holes in Airline Security: Loaded Gun Slips Past TSA Screeners)
In 2004-2005, the TSA had a 70% rate of failure to detect hidden knives and guns when undercover agents tried to sneak these weapons through the TSA security checkpoints.
We don't know what their current failure rate is because they stopped publishing these results.
But, we do get glimpses from time to time, such as the incident with Farid Seif's loaded Glock.
According to one report, undercover TSA agents testing security at a Newark airport terminal on one day in 2006 found that TSA screeners failed to detect concealed bombs and guns 20 out of 22 times. A 2007 government audit leaked to USA Today revealed that undercover agents were successful slipping simulated explosives and bomb parts through Los Angeles's LAX airport in 50 out of 70 attempts, and at Chicago's O'Hare airport agents made 75 attempts and succeeded in getting through undetected 45 times.
Do you believe they've gotten better, stayed the same or gotten worse?
I believe it's about the same or worse. If they have gottne better, you can believe it would be all over the news.
Told a lady, not long ago, before the fake pilot was uncovered and caught, it may not be a good idea to fly. She wanted to have me committed. Heck, my padded room becomes extremely inviting on certain days.
I would have grabbed several other male passengers and beaten the living sh1t out of this guy. That they’d need an ambulance and a stretcher to get the guy off the plane. And a bag for the rest of him I’d have stomped ot of him.
Maybe you weren’t aware that the shoe bomber boarded his flight in CDG enroute to MIA. And the underwear bomber went through security at AMS enroute to DTW. TSA had nothing to do with those flights.
Furthermore, are you aware of how easy it is to access planes on the tarmac at airports? Also, I’m sure you’re aware that all employees have access to planes....whether they’re cleaners, baggage handlers, or from the kitchen. When I was working, most of the men delivering the galley could not speak English. And they weren’t blonds from Sweden either.
Come to where I live and watch the people get off the employee bus and walk through a door in the terminal that takes them to the planes. No security.
From all reports out there, the guy from Saudi Arabia did not try to “break into” the cockpit. I’m assuming he tried the door just as many other passengers do on flights...thinking it was the lav. They said he appeared confused and spoke very little English. I’ve seen it many times. You’re in the front of the plane, you know people could see you...it’s awkward and confusing when you think it’s the lav and it isn’t.
I’m not saying the guy is completely innocent. I’m telling you what I know. I know how 9/11 happened, and they didn’t try the door on the cockpit.
