As long as it doesn’t set up Lindsey Graham for a presidential run (aaaarrrrrgggggg).

It would be ironic though, McCain’s lapdog running in the next election with Cain.

But seriously, the three points I gave above are why I think people like Palin, West, Romney, & Perry are not on the list of likely VP candidates for Cain.

Had anyone told me on the first weds in Nov 2008 that in four years I would vote for a black man and do it with joy in my heart, I would have punched them in the nose. Not out of racism but because I would have thought they meant “the won”. Things have a way of doing a 180 from what you expected.

This former Palin gal is firmly on the Cain Train. All of the other trains were going in the wrong direction.

I bought a ticket... but haven't gotten on the train yet :)

I am giving Perry one last chance at this next debate, if he doesn't get it together by then, I am abandoning ship and going all in for Cain.

He doesn't have to win necessarily, but he can't have a repeat of that last debate.

If was not many days ago that a “heartless” comment by Governor Perry may have left his Presidential dreams burning on the launch pad.

The “Rocket Scientist” meanwhile, has blasted off to new heights.

Maybe, but he was rated ahead of Ras as far as accuracy in swing states, etc in 2010. Not bad for Zog.

If we nominate Cain, before it’s over Obama will be emphasizing that he’s half white, that Cain is 100 percent black and therefore not representative of America, and that Obama has been a secret but proud member of SCV all these years.

Then we will learn that Biden changed his name when he entered college, and that it’s really Jose Bideno.

The MSM will swear it’s all true and that only birthers would doubt it. They will win in a walk. Michael/Michelle’s sex change and the double adoption of the girls probably won’t have to come out at all ....

The GOP love Cain in Florida and he will need FLA in the general—Jeb,Rubio or West—I know Rubio said no but he qualified it later with a never say never comment that made it a maybe.
But if Rubio gets the nod,the Left will use all it's evil, all it's mean-spirited powers to stop the first Latino VP being a conservative.

Zogby has no credibility whatsoever.

Notoriously liberal perhaps, but saying it has zero credibility is without merit. Even if Zogby has agenda built into its numbers, with spreads as wide as the ones reported there is no doubt an element of reality reflected in the trends, if not the numbers themselves. It is irrefutable that Cain is surging across the board. Romney is stagnant. Perry and Bachmann have taken hits. Those are facts even if it is Zogby reporting them.

Sure is good to see those numbers. Hope the trend continues. To see Romney down there is just peachy. You betcha!

From what I’ve seen he’s getting more media attention on his book tour then all the others combined.

I don’t think the “brings a big state” model works for Cain.

The meme that will be used agains Cains is (1) he’s not qualified, (2) he doesn’t know how things work in Washington, (3) he doesn’t know foreign policy, and (4) we can’t elect a crazy tea partier (that will come from the GOP establishment as much as from the left).

Cain will need a VP that handles those problems.

Have you noticed that candidates (of both parties) that are governors (guys without foreign policy experience) always pick foreign policy wonks as their VP.

Obama/Biden
Bush/Cheny
Gore/Lieberman
Dukakis/Bentson

The exception seems to have been Clinton/Gore. Given Cain’s earlier remarks about not knowing a foreign policy answer, it seems that will be the #1 thing he’ll need in a running mate.

The other think he’ll have to do is what Reagan had to do: put a GOP insider on the ticket. If he puts a tea party conservative like West on the ticket, the GOP establishment would form a third party (and no, I’m not kidding; remember the Anderson run in 1980? It only died down when Reagan chose Bush as the VP).

The party loves Rubino, and I have no doubt he WILL be the VP nomine if either Romney or Perry wins, but I’m not sure if he will be the one for Perry.

These numbers don't mean squat if Cain doesn't have money--lots of money--to back them up. So, if any of you are truly serious about supporting his candidacy and making it viable, start writing checks NOW. I'd suggest $500-$1000 minimum. He doesn't have much time, and he still doesn't have a top tier campaign team. He will need money to put one together--and that's assuming there is still top-tier talent to be had.

If you just sit on your pocketbooks and say, "Go Cain, go!" -- he will have no chance.
