Vice President Joe Biden today likened the Occupy Wall Street protests to expressions of grassroots frustration by members of the Tea Party. Lets be honest with one another, Biden told an audience on camera at the Washington Ideas Forum. What is the core of that protest? The core is: The bargain has been breached. The core is the American people do not think the system is fair, or on the level. That is the core is what youre seeing with Wall Street. Theres a lot in common with the Tea Party, he said. The Tea Party started, why? TARP. They thought it was unfair. Biden cited Bank of Americas recent decision to impose a $5 monthly fee on some debit card users as an example of new perceived unfairness related to the banking sector that has fueled more popular frustration. The middle class folks, these guys with the debit cards, are on their back. And [banks] are going to charge them $5 to use the cards? At minimum, they are totally tone-deaf, Biden said.

Sorry Mr Gaffetastic, this attempt to merge the TEA party and those goofballs who can’t even find Wall Street just is not going to hunt.
“Occupy Wall Street, Tea Party Have Frustration in Common”
Most are opposed to O.
So does the Tea Party stand with Wall Street bailouts now?
Lets see, One group is calling for global revolution and the collapsed of the system.
The other is calling for preserving the vision of our Founding Fathers, and the Constitution they set in place.
Why am I not seeing a connection?
Tea Party folks are not frustrated but they are resolute and will continue to be so til 2012 and thereafter.
Joe is auditioning for SNL again!
I’d like to know that too.
Seems like much of the tea party has been co-opted by the status quo bailouters.
Well put. I agree.
I guess I’m am getting thin skinned, but this really ticks me off.
The Tea Party and the anarchists are both frustrated. The TP is frustrated because they know what’s going on and know what to do. The anarchists are frustrated because they don’t have a clue.
No Bite me, we have JOBS and pay taxes.
Both are angry that Wall Street and the big banks got bailed out with taxpayer money.
Beyond that the similarities come to a screeching halt.
Really?
Fairness isn't the issue. That's how the left want us to look at it. Government bailouts for the incompetent is the real problem. The incompetent should fail, not be bailed out.
I guess Im am getting thin skinned, but this really ticks me off.
Me too!! As Sarah said: 2012 cannot come soon enough. I really do not think Obama will run though and even that will tick me off. I want to see this evil man get his ass kicked at the ballot box. I do not think he will have the courage to run. I just hope a conservative gets the opportunity to take his scalp. Is that hate speech or just hyperbole?
Bump
We have nothing in common at all. They are Marxists, we are not.
Ann Coulter answers this very well in her latest column. The droopy-drawered nincompoops in the streets of New York could’nt be further apart from the Silent Majority now speaking up in the Tea Parties. No comparison.
“I just hope a conservative gets the opportunity to take his scalp. Is that hate speech or just hyperbole?”
I’ll tell you what it is. It’s music to my ears:)
That's not necessarily true. I know several idiots; heck, I'm related to a few. And while they may be idiots they remain likable. Joe Biden is not likable.
