With Palin out, it is between one of these two for me.

Cain sounds better, but probably Perry will be stronger.

We’ll see.

“It was the message, and the man, not the money that is making people sit up and take notice.”

Consistency too. There seems to be no “I was for that before I was against it” from Cain.

Cain has already telegraphed who he will support when his money runs out.

He said it plainly and it went right over everyone’s head because he was attacking Perry and they liked that.

Herman Cain has no campaigns set up in very many states and has no money to do that.

Herman Cain knows this but will stay in the campaign until the last day and keep attacking Perry. His campaigne may even find some donatins to keep him going to the end.

I heard last nite on Hannity that all the Christie money will now go to Romney.
(from a woman who said she has inside knowledge)Can’t remember her name.

My guess is, at this point, the same Establishment bastards who are contributing to Romney’s campaign are ALSO contributing to Perry. The goal is to keep a single viable conservative from getting too far up there to challenge their boy Romney.

Bingo ... The GOP convinced Perry to run. He had previously declined to run in at least two main stream media interviews. In a nutshell, he's being paid by the GOP establishment to run. It should come as no surprise that his war chest is growing rapidly from corporate contributors. It's the good 'ole boys club filling his tank ... because ... he "waters down the TEA"!

People don’t invest big bucks to a candidate who is only acting as a spoiler.

Herman Cain can’t win and has told you he is going to support Romney when his money runs out. Duh

Yes, HC might “sound” better but has never been tested in the political arena. No record to check and no experience on anything except running a business.

Could he lead a military? Perry has been in the military and also has commanded the state’s national guard and the Texas Rngers. What’s Cain’s record?

Could it be immigration? Sure Cain “sounds” better to you but has he ever had to deal with immigration in his whole life? I am sure some illegals can be found and will be shone to you working in his Burger King and pizza parlors.

How about workig with other states for Republican priciples? Rick Perry was the head of the Reublican Governors Association. That is where the real grass roots begins.

Yes, everyone. Cain is “sounding” good. But with a very thin resume and no record in public office, he will be a hard sell on the national stage.

No one knows this any better than Herman Cain. Read all his stuff and you will see that he is after Rick Perry.

Herman Cain can't win

Heard that one before ... it never was very credible and has become less so with every passing day. CBS and WSJ both claim Cain has rocketed to a statistical tie with Romney. Romney couldn't beat McCain. Why on Earth would Cain settle for second fiddle to a third place loser when he's in a statistical tie for first place? I wouldn't. You wouldn't. Cain wouldn't. Go ahead and try to sell him out if you think it'll help your candidate. But don't expect logical FRiends to buy into it. I'm not voting for a wolf in sheeps clothing this election, and you can't make me. Romney, Perry, and Huntsman don't make the cut.

Good gravy, I just read the latest Zogby (click). Romney loses to Obama by 1%. Perry loses to Obama by 5%. Cain defeats Obama by 2%. Cain leads both Romney and Perry 38% to 18% and 12% respectively. Heck, add those two together and they are still 8% shy of Cain's popularity.

It's just a poll ... and it's Zogby at that. But with spreads that wide, there is a measure of reality reflected in there that you just can't argue against. It's a fact Romney and Perry have lost dramatic ground and Cain is the only candidate with traction.

Saying "Cain can't win" at this point is reminiscent of Baghdad Bob telling the world the troops aren't at his door.

No real large donors. They are all commmitted. The last holdouts went for Romney when Christi said no.

Why didn’t the big donors jump on the Cain train when they saw his numbers going up? No one invests in an unproven candidate.

He has a thin resume and no track record as a political candidate and One loss.

Not saying that disqualifies him but am saying that’s why he can’t win.

Those votes don’t mean anything without the grass roots support in the states. He has no campaign at all in a lot of states.

Maybe you have a million to float him?

Nope ... I'm middle class ... so it'll be a bit less than that :-) But he won't owe me a thing for my donation beyond performing the Constitutional duties of the office. Perry and Romney won't be able to say that about their contributors.

If he gets there.

Maybe it would have been better to go for a lesser office or maybe run a charity or have some record in the public arena so as to prove himself before he went for the big enchilada?

He has sold you on red meat rhetoric and not on a proven record.

Have you ever wondered why Cain is attacking Perry and not Romney?

And Cain has had leanings towards establishment types like Romney for quite some time. Cain would certainly not turn down a VP spot with Romney. Of that you can be sure. And Cain is going out of his way to attack Perry.

In other words, “Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!”

I’m in Virginia and never worked in a campaign before and don’t now.

I looked at all the candidates on the stage and picked Perry as the best one to beat Obama.

I really loved Cain as an advocate but didn’t pick him because he had no record for me to judge.

He was so lovable up until he won the straw poll - been going after Perry ever since. Never any attacks on Romney except low key.

Cain supporters look at the mess were in and what do we see?

Politicians.

Liberals and Bush haters look at Perry and who do they see?

George W. Bush. You don’t think Perry would galvanize people to come out and vote against him who would otherwise sleep through election day?

Cain was in the military. Cain is a successful executive. He wants to seal the borders. He wants to revamp the tax code. He has that sunny, optimistic, pro-American outlook we need.

Palin supporters were looking for an anti-establishment candidate who will run a grass roots campaign. Well, they still have one—Herman Cain.

Yeah. Keep trying. Like I said, got those talking points all together. Seen a few of you today alone, all parroting the same thing. As I pointed out earlier, no different than the LSM parroting the talking points of the democrats day in and day out.

I should start doing a FR montage of all of you:
Can’t raise money
Hasn’t held public office
And your new one: just in it to bring down Perry (which is REALLY odd since he was in before Perry).

“Why does Cain need so much money, since everyone’s voting for him anyway?”

Now that’s funny, I don’t care who you are...

If he’s serious about this leader-of-the-free-world job interview, Herb needs to put down the book, pick up the phone and raise some cash.

Very true. He needs to show he's serious.

Put the book tour on hold, Herman, and start campaigning like a frontrunner, NOW!
