I will vote in the primary for whomever appears to be the most conservative candidate who can win in the general (Buckley’s rule). In the general, I’ll vote for whomever the GOP candidate is, holding my nose if necessary. If polls leading up to election day show the GOP candidate winning (or losing) by a wide margin in my state, I’ll write in Sarah Palin.

And I will scorn all blandishments by GOP organs for campaign donations; what meager resources I have left after three years of our Obamanation will go to worthy conservative candidates. The GOP has proven itself to be worthless.

Your insulting and arrogant tone pretty much makes me want to vote against your hero. I’ll do what I think is right regardless, but if you’re trying to win hearts and minds here, you might want to try a different approach!

For what it’s worth, I’d vote for Perry over Romney any day of the week, but it’s still a long way (politically) until the primaries. I’m undecided except for Romney and Ron Paul. No way will either of them get my vote in the primaries.

That was sure nice of Rick Perry to make that sign for Romney.

No doubt there are some that disapprove of Ron Paul’s foreign policy.

Killing American citizens if Obama calls them terrorists is all right with them.

Other parts of the Obama administration are calling tea partiers terrorists.

And that’s fine.

Ron Paul raised $8 Million last quarter.

Newt is better known than anybody.

They’re factors.

I’d take Perry over Romney! I watched videos of Romney, and there were many of them, as he swore to support a woman’s right to choose. That means he’s pro-abortion, not Pro-Life! I just can’t believe him even though I supported him in the 2008 election, I’ve become more educated.

"Pay to play"

I do not think that phrase means what you think it means (accent Mandy Patinkin).

It's Capitalism in action on the political front, baby.

In that case, given that Obama is likely to raise more money than anyone else, I guess I'll be voting for him. Capitalism in action, baby.

Like Romney, the majority of Perry's donations are from big business and special interest looking for favors. Assuming the typical one-time donation from a private citizen is $100 (probably high), Perry got $2 million from private citizens and $15 million from special interests.

I’ll take Cain over Perry and Romney.

You'll need to pencil in his name, fyi. Cain won't be on the ballot in 2012.

Polls indicate that Romney does best head to head against Obama.

Ron Paul (due to young, male independents) does 2nd best.

Perry does not do very well at all against Obama, about as well as Bachmann, and I’d much rather lose with Bachmann than Perry.

Perry is the worst. I’d rather have Huntsman than Perry. Or Santorum. Or Buddy Roemer, Gary Johnson, anybody but Perry.

The Perry supporters are the single most obnoxious group on free republic ever. Perry seems to be a moron who has done badly and has been hurt in every single debate he’s been in. Huge amounts of cash can keep him where he is in the polls. He’s such an attractive target to all the other candidates, because he’s done so many terrible things. Beating him over and over should be a fun sport for any candidate. Maybe he won’t get half the airtime on the next debate. Maybe the msm (which we used to dislike, remember) will stop calling it a romney v perry race.

Good riddance to Rick Perry.

Nice of you to notice what a dunce Romney is for holding it up, and he's the guy you prefer to Perry! Have you told Jim Robinson about your Romney love?

Perry can’t debate. He’s shown that. That’s why he would debate in the governors race. and Mitt can make a speech that doesn’t put half his audience to sleep. Neither can match Cain on the stage.

I don’t disagree that they’re factors. They’re distractions. $8 million in a quarter will never make a president. Perry raised more than double that in half that time. That makes him a huge factor regardless of his piss poor debate performances. I predict we will see a different Perry on the 10th.
