A schoolgirl was brutally gang raped after rigid school rules meant she was kept late and missed her bus home, it has been reported.
The 13-year-old's parents are suing Mount Hope Middle School in West Virginia, claiming the horrendous sexual assault would not have happened were it not for the actions of staff at the school.
The girl was allegedly set upon by a group of athletes at the school while waiting outside for a ride home.
She had missed her bus after being made to collect uniforms for the cheerleading squad by Linda Nevi, the coach.
When the girl, who was the middle school's cheerleading captain, then went to the school's office to ask to call home, she was told she could not do so and had to use a friend's cell phone instead, the case alleges.
She then allegedly went back to the school office to wait there but it was locked and staff had gone home.
She also is said to have tried to wait inside the gymnasium but was then told by the basketball coach, Bo Morrison, that she could not wait inside while practice was going on.
'While sitting outside the gymnasium, Plaintiff B.E. was confronted by various male Mount Hope High School student athletes,' the lawsuit alleges.
'The student athletes forced Plaintiff B.E. to a room commonly used by students at Mount Hope High School to engage in sexual acts.
'In this room, the student athletes raped and physically and sexually assaulted Plaintiff B.E. while another female juvenile was present.
The boys are said to have been older, aged between 16 and 17.

I hope that all those who denied her refuge and help find their souls scraped and scarred for life, with the knowledge of their complicity.
Poor little girl. This is beyond horrible!
Amen.
They had a whoopee room? The school did nothing about the whoopee room?
Doubt it. Most government authorities have no soul.
Complicity? Really? Aren’t ONLY the rapists responsible for the rape? No other person denied the girl protection knowing that it would be needed. Only the rapists are really at fault here.
Something is not jiving.
I do not see a problem here.
Yes, let’s wait until all of the story is told.
well vlad, when my husband was a high school teacher, kids who were at the school after hours were always supervised, no one was left unattended and vulnerable. When a girl needed a ride home, he called me, and we both went together to take her home, and make sure she got inside her house safely.
This was a small rural school, so maybe things were different, but nobody would have left a girl vulnerable, with no way to call her parents. I blame the school staff who failed to help her.
ummm . . . where are the criminal charges?
There was apparently no evidence that a rape occurred and no one was charged.
My God, what has this world come to? It’s judgment is rightly deserved........
A lawsuit would be the last thing that school would need to worry about that had been my daughter. I’d have a line of heads on silver platters at my feet over that.
On the other hand, this is another reason that home schooling is a very viable and desirable option.
False claims are destruction for legitimate rape victims.
She should be made to face the damage she has done and HER parents should be sued.
Had it been your daughter, she would apparently be a liar...
