Sarah Palin will not run for president. She made the announcement in a letter to supporters Wednesday night.
Read Palins letter here:
October 5, 2011 Wasilla, Alaska After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.
My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office from the nations governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the fundamental transformation of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law....

I give Palin supporters more than some who think they'll just fold....they knew this might be possible and are not so thin skinned as to let the regular palin bashers affect them now any more than they did before Sarah's announcement.
They'll be disappointed but will still support whatever she does...that's a given....as for who they will vote for now. I think they'll "Pull a PAlin" and let people guess for a while.....hahahahahaa.....I'm not about ready to make it known.
You’re looking for the Zot after seven years here?
I don’t know if you have heard, but it’s all over. Romney will be the nominee as most have known for months. He now has Georgette Mosbacher’s backing!
I watched the Ron Paul supporters FLOOD the Fredhead sites just minutes after Fred annouced he was leaving the race. It was sicking, but then they did have the excuse that they were ‘Paulist’ and honestly didn’t know any better!
Jim DeMint.
*************
hear, hear!!!!
I felt that about 2 months ago. I was down for days when I realized she wasn’t running. It was hard to overcome my disappointment.
I was raised not to be disrespectful towards a lady, so I will kindly ask you not to post to me again, or I might forget myself.
No, there is another...
Joe McGinnis—Mission Accomplished
Yep..
hurt, saddened. But we move on. Objective#1: removing that bastard from 1600 pa ave.
#2 not letting the media pick our candidate.
darn it. I had a grand ready to throw at her. The rest will have to work for it.
She said she would not seek the GOP nimination, not that she would not run. I don’t want to see a third party attempt but I do find it intereting the way the statement is worded.
Okay. Herman Cain for President!
Perry/Palin . . . . My prayer.
HERMAN CAIN
Palin has been on the vp ticket, don’t see her doing that again.
Guess I’ll have to change my sig from Palin /West ‘12 to “stayin home”.
Now that's what I'm talkin' about!
If anyone gives a darn what I think -- the GOP Establishment (I love saying that now that I know they hate it) will be even more fearful of her now that they know she's not running. Forget all their bloviating otherwise, they know exactly how much influence she has on elections at the individual level. She has every one of 'em by the short hairs, and more power to her.
Do you know how many people on FR were called RINO trolls for thinking Palin was not running over the past year by the Palinites? People who swore up and down this was a done deal that she was running and if others didn't see it, they were certifiable? Of course people are commenting on this. Especially since they have been vindicated.
Time to begin the motorcade over to Cain.
