First on CNN: Conservative group to target Romney
"If you support the principles of the Republican Party platform, as I do, then it's important that we make sure the GOP nominates someone who has supported and fought for those principles. On almost every single important issue facing America today, Mitt Romney has fought against conservatives and Republicans. He's been a liberal on fiscal issues, a liberal on social issues, and a liberal on national security issues," says Lloyd Marcus, Chairman of Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama, in a statement to CNN.

Sometimes the truth hurts.
Notice the words “conservative group targets”.
CNN means to inflame against the group.
But all the group is doing - like Truman saying “I just tell the truth and they think it’s H*** - is to tell the truth about Mitt Romney.
Ping
Free Republic is in all the way. If abortionist, gay rights pushing, gun-grabbing, socialist healthcare mandating, big government, constitution trampling, lying statist Mitt Romney somehow becomes the best the GOP has to offer, then it’s just proof that the GOP is no longer a conservative party and therefore I’m no longer a Republican. I oppose Romney as much and maybe even more than I oppose Obama. Because Romney will turn the GOP into just another progressive party. There will be no opposition party left.
If Romney’s the one, then FR will be in 100% anti-Romney mode.
FUMR!!
Go TEA Party!!
Jim:
The key is for conservatives to coalesce around a candidate.
That was our mistake in 2008 and we may repeat that again in 2012.
Well, duh. Please name the conservative we can all coalesce around. I’m sure you will get no argument.
Also don’t buy anything that Romney is dishing out on Perry on illegal immigration. Romney supported sanctuary cities in MA and a MA DREAM act.
Even if Cain is his VP? or Marco Rubio?
Here are my four top choices:
1) Sarah Palin
2) Michele Bachmann
3) Herman Cain
4) Rick Perry
I will absolutely not support or vote for Mitt Romney and, in fact, will actively campaign against him.
Been there, done that. Never again. NO MORE RINOS!!!
Which is why I fear the states are moving up their primaries before Romney drops in the polls.
Many FReepers would argue that Perry is no better than Romney. Many FReepers would argue that Cain is another Romney. Those views have been posted here by longtime FReepers in nearly every thread.
So, even FReepers are not coalescing around a single candidate and the clock is running out.
Finally. This SOB super liberal must be exposed for everyone to see his record.
We were concerned seeing how many in the media and political establishment were trying to push this "Romney is inevitable" argument to preempt the primaries before they even take place and just declare Romney the winner.
So we decided that we could play our role by 'knocking Romney out of the primaries - as a serious contender,' and hopefully ensure a principled conservative is the nominee.
Anything that can take out the liberal Republicans Ricardo Perry and Romney I welcome. Cain is on fire thank God. Palin may just announce. Bachmann and Santorum are doing fantastic during debates. It is becoming the best primary season ever....conservatives dominating should always be the case!!!!
If its not Palin/Cain/Bachman then....
Elect Perry to stop Romney and Obama
Elect conservatives in congress to stop Perry
I will defend this nation from tyrants like Obama. If that means I have to vote for Romney, so be it.
Everyone has to know that playing the race card is wrong. That’s why Cain can’t be in any Perry supporter’s list any longer.
If Cain played the race card on Sarah, everyone would understand where we are coming from.
Do you seriously think he wouldnt do it?
Why must it be Mitt Romney? Did you see our video documenting how Romney has fought conservatives on almost every single major issue?
He wasn't someone who was wobbily. He has repeatedly fought against Republicans and conservatives. He does not deserve our support, and more to the point, he has no business believing he should be the nominee for the Republican Party - he should pick another party that more closely matches his own.
Here are my four top choices:
1) Sarah Palin
2) Michele Bachmann
3) Herman Cain
4) Rick Perry
I will absolutely not support or vote for Mitt Romney and, in fact, will actively campaign against him.
You will get no argument from me. I despise Romney. He is a politician, just like Clinton. He will do and say anything for a vote.
I just see Romney getting very few attacks while the better candidates beat each other up and get attacked by conservatives.
