I returned a bit ago from getting photos and video of the Obama fundraiser protest in St. Louis. It was hosted by Tom Carnahan, owner of the Wind Capital Group, an alternative energy group which received around $100 million in stimulus funds.
That Carnahans brother is Democratic Representative Russ Carnahan surely helped change Wind Capital Groups fortunes.

Ive been to a lot of protestsboth conservative and progressiveand only one other time have I witnessed such a level of hostility and outright inappropriate behavior.
Its a shame some individuals allow themselves to get so partisan and emotional that they make civic participationor even standing around while taking photos and videoa hostile event. It shouldnt be that way.

Towards the end of this video I just let my camera roll. The sun had set set; my HD handheld isnt equipped with a light so I did the best I could. I took video (ended up being audio because it was so dark outside) which is peppered with flashbulbs so you get only glimpses of the crowd.
Some inebriated Obama supporters from a nearby concert at the History Museum made their way over and my media gathering (and that of others) became more about rounding up my family and leaving because some individuals were simply too hostile and emotional to continue to film. I let the camera run for safety as we moved away from those shouting.

Personally if I'm going to have to deal with these goons (whether it be militant blacks, white anarchists, Aztlan, union goons, or all the above), I'd rather deal with it on my terms, in my territory, where I have a numbers, equipment, and logistics advantage.
I tip my hat to Baker. He's a better man than I am. I would have lost my temper and handled this 1967's White Dearborn style.
I wonder if these Obama supporters realize that Martin Luther King was a Republican?
Would they call him an “Uncle Tom,” too?
“Prove me wrong...”

Okay, but I have a few other things to do first like square the circle, find the Lost Dutchman Mine, find a cure for the common cold, write the Great American Novel, make a billion dollars and all that. As soon as all that easy stuff is out of the way I’ll get around to you.
“This is a very poorly laid-out article, but the gist is that the Obama supporters got ANGRY, seeing White people supporting a BLACK Republican! “
Nominate CAIN and watch the liberal heads explode.
In all fairness, there were other black people at the Tea Party location who were NOT disruptive. Some drifted in from a nearby concert in hopes of getting a glimpse of the President arriving at Tom Carnahans mansion. Most were cordial and respectful. One black lady and I had a spirited discussion about our different views but there was no cussing or disrespect.
It was only a few small groups and individuals who became angry at the Tea Party chants like VOTE HIM OUT and WHERE ARE THE JOBS? They responded with disparaging remarks about Bush and when approached by Republican candidate Martin Baker, a black man who was criticizing Obama and his policies, the situation escalated into what you see on the videos.
