According to a source with knowledge of the inner workings of SarahPAC, inside the Palin world its still a possibility that she might run. However, as the deadline approaches not even her staff knows what she will decide.
ABC News has separately learned that the Palin team is well aware of the filing deadlines and are keeping abreast of the changes in the deadline. Politico reported Tuesday that a law firm that employs an attorney representing SarahPAC had been making calls to early states inquiring about presidential filing deadlines. SarahPAC would not confirm the report to ABC News. When reached by ABC News, Mark Bradenthe attorney mentioned in the Politico reportwould also not comment or confirm the report or that he even works with Palin.
As the days creep toward those state filing deadlines, no new staff has been hired. Her core group of about seven staffers runs the organization while a volunteer group completely independent of SarahPAC called Organize4Palin or O4P tries to lay the groundwork in states, most notably Iowa. Those close to Palin acknowledge the decision is hers to make alone with her husband, Todd, and that she could decide the day before the first filing deadline that she wants to throw her hat in the ring....

Have to agree...
candidates who have no executive experience
***
Cain? (not government executive experience)
What, the debates are over?
Are you miffed that you don’t know any of the opinions she’s expressed over the three years? That she hasn’t been vetted?
Frankly, I’m tired of this. I don’t want to hear another thing about Sarah until she is ready to say she’s in or she’s out.
Don’t you just love how they have nothing to add to the known facts but have to capitalize on Sarah’s brand by getting some hits?
Cain is in some ways, the other GOP candidate in Palin’s political league.
I once hoped Palin and Perry would end up a ticket.
I’m starting to think Palin and Perry (either order) would be almost an unfair fight against Dems right now.
Which is just fine. :D
Coattails in the Senate, and everything.

Oops.
Habit.
“Palin / Cain”, either order. :D
You people need to get over palin...she’s almost certainly not running. ten more days and then the hammer falls...either she does or she doesn’t. Personally I don’t think she’s wanted to run for one minute since the last election.
“You people?” Who? Us conservatives?
Don’t get me wrong. I like most of what Cain says. But, can a candidate who has never held elected office before truly be elected as President? Would his background hold up to scrutiny? Would he hold up as a candidate? I just don’t know.
Yeah, they really do. They can't help themselves. They're addicted to hating her. Palin-hate is like crack to them.
I’ve been wondering all day about this *new* deadline. I’ve been wondering if it was done on purpose to hurt the republicans...force them to go with only the weak candidates that have already started running.
As bad as LBJ and Humphrey were, Barack Obama isn’t fit to tie their shoelaces or empty their spitoons.
One of the main themes I notice from the fanatical Palin FReepers is that the media is already mentioned.
Problem is, if she does what you’re suggesting, and run against the media, it does nothing to address our country’s ills, and only makes it about Sarah. It’s one of the reasons I thought threatening to sue Random House was a bad move. So some people wrote some bad things about you.
Boo Hoo. Ignore it and tell us how you will make America great again, and stop fighting gutter rats with lawyers.
With all due respect, you’re sort of fanatical.
If I'm Sarah Palin surveying the GOP Field, I'm thinking...
Bachmann is over. Rick Perry is over, though he doesn't know it yet. Herman Cain is an amateur minor-leaguer who doesn't calculate the consequences of how he deals with Media and has zero experience in politics. Gingrich is a Rino. Santorum, Paul, Huntsman & Gary Johnson - zero chance.
Romney is a non-starter for Conservatives and Tea Party.
The door is trult wide open for her.
I remember reading here that Palin said she would announce a decision by the end of September. Anyone know if she really said this?
“Did you have other indicators, for hurrying?
I mean. Other than being impatient? :D”
I think I just listed the reasons. The main one being that the first primary is likely a little over 2 months away and I think the filing deadline around the third week of this month. Which is why I say she has a couple more weeks, then she’s going to be running up against these deadlines.
It really has nothing to do with me being impatient. I’m just looking for the best “anybody but Romney” candidate to get behind in the primary. A few weeks ago, I thought it might be Perry, now maybe Cain, but I’m not confident he can go the distance. Which really leaves us with either Perry or Palin. If Sarah stays silent until these deadlines pass, then it’s a pretty good indication she’s not running, which will likely mean we’re stuck with Perry.
