Ken Vogel and I both have sources telling us that calls were made on behalf of a mystery candidate to various early states to determine presidential filing deadlines. Continue Reading
The calls were made by representatives of the law firm Baker Hostetler - a firm that employs lawyer Mark Braden, who represents Sarah PAC, her political action committee.
As Ken notes, while he nor representatives of Palins campaign would comment on the calls, Palin is the only GOP politician eying the presidential race who is represented by the firm.
It wouldnt be the first time that her representatives have sought information on the deadlines marking the ever-shifting GOP calendar.
The current thinking in GOP election law circles is that the first hard cut-off for entering the race is Oct. 28, when presidential candidates who hope to appear on the ballot in the New Hampshire primary would be required to submit a filing fee from a federally registered presidential campaign committee.

Of course you didn’t hear the interview, so your post shows your complete ignorance.

Interesting theory, and pretty funny if you are correct.

In other words, we can’t tell from this latest alleged information whether she is running or not.

That is the troll’s other broken record post; Palin actually (gasp) made money by working for Fox News and since she worked for the media, she’s an “insider” and not one of us.

So, what are the cut-off dates for SC Primary (Jan. 21, 2012) and FL Primary (Jan. 31, 2012)? Anybody know? Unchanged -- I believe those dates are set by statute. SC is Nov. 1 and requires a filing fee. FL is Oct. 31 and just requires being included on a list submitted by the state GOP, IIRC.

Also, 4 states just changed their primary dates a couple of days ago. I suppose ‘everyone’ knows the consequences of that and wouldn’t bother getting a legal opnion???

Keep the faith, onyx. Someday maybe Palin will announce. It won't be until after her money grab in South Korea, though, so we've got at least another 10 days or so. Lots of books to sign there as well as a few speeches. Can't pass that up? You betcha!
I'm neither worthless nor nasty, but if it makes you feel better about yourself, I won't object to your childish insults. You seem to need Palin, and I'll still be here to soften the blow when she doesn't run in 2012. I won't even call you names when you go through the five stages of grief.

I have seen reports that the Palin’s have had their dog’s nails clipped and painted. A sure bet that she’s getting in.
