House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said that President Barack Obamas $447-billion American Jobs Act was dead, adding that Obamas all or nothing approach would not work.
At a Capitol Hill briefing on Monday, a reporter asked Cantor whether the "jobs package as a package [was] dead?"
Cantor said, "yes," and shortly thereafter said, It seems as if the president is in full campaign mode. The president continues to say pass my bill in its entirety. As Ive said from the outset, this all-or-nothing approach is just not acceptable.
Cantor also questioned whether Obama had the votes for his jobs bill in the Democrat-controlled Senate, saying that the president had some whipping to do.

“It’s dead, Jim.”
Has the bill actually been filed?
DOA!
Bad strategy, imo.
GOP should NOT “pronounce Obama’s bill dead.”
That’s exactly what Obama wants.
GOP SHOULD “publicly announce the Democrat co-sponsors of his bill” oh? None? Well, then CANTOR should sponsor the bill and open it to amendments.
GOP SHOULD append all of their regulation reduction bills to the text.
Don’t call Obama out on his all or nothing. Make. Him. Veto. It.
One idiotic clause in that “jobs” bill is the ability of job-seekers to sue companies who do not hire them on the spot. And the Kenyan Klown is scratching his ass why sane people are not on board Stimulus Part 2..
Poor Bamster, not able to tell the Republicans to get in the back of the bus anymore.
...it wasn't a jobs bill, either.
Yes, it was filed a few weeks ago in the Senate.
