Oh my: Cain surges to second in Florida as Perry fades to fourth
Hot Air ^ | 10/4/2011 | ALLAHPUNDIT

I know Perry’s not done. I know it, but … sometimes I have to remind myself.

Cain is now running in second place in Florida now that his support surged nearly 19 percentage points after last month’s Republican Party of Florida’s Presidency 5 debate and straw poll, according to a survey of likely Florida voters conducted by Gainesville-based War Room Logistics, which typically polls for Republicans.

Meantime, Perry’s support plummeted nearly 16 percentage points.

Perry had been tied as a Florida frontrunner with Mitt Romney at about 25 percent on Sept. 20, dropped to third/fourth place with 9 percent of the vote where he’s statistically tied with Newt Gingrich (10 percent).

Apart from Romney, who trails Obama by five, everyone else in the field gets crushed by The One head to head. (O leads Perry 53/36.)
**snip**
I think Perry’s already lost the mystique that excited grassroots conservatives when he first announced. Everyone knew he was vulnerable on immigration and wasn’t a world-class debater, but he had that gold-plated jobs record and was undefeated after 10 years of Texas political gunfights. I figured he’d be so vastly superior to Romney as a retail politician that even if he took some lumps about the border, he’d mash Mitt up on RomneyCare and flip-flopping and would lead comfortably by now. That is to say, I thought voters would be able to support Perry as Perry and not merely as “Not Romney.” Now I wonder.

Perry continues to drop like a rock, and he has earned it. The more conservatives learn about his record, the more they'll support another candidate.

Now that Cain is getting bogged down in the weeds, the question is who will the Tea Party turn to next? In the meantime, there sits ole Romney, playing a prevent-offense, and holding the lead.

I’m happily and patiently waiting for Governor Sarah Palin.

She knows how the nasty democrat media works.

The others have fallen prey and they’re just now getting the smears she’s endured for over 3 years.

The Perryistas are getting nervous. That’s obvious by how strident their posts have become.

Romney is playing classic 'Rope A Dope', stalling for time, and letting everyone else around him spend all their energy and gas imploding and beating each other up, while throwing the occasional jab just to make people see that he's still alive.

Which sets up Sarah Palin's masterful strategic late entry to come up the side flank and blow past everybody and quickly head up the ladder as the only viable alternative to King Rino Romney!

I’m afraid we will find that our little Republican primary voters are still mostly bushbots and will cling to Romney as “electable.” Gingrich, meanwhile, is the best debater, but morally vulnerable and easily fooled by liberals.

If you watch the video from 94 of Cain vs Clinton at a town hall meeting about Hillarycare, Cain destroys Slick with facts and figures. It’s a classic real world vs political jive discussion.

Reverse racism rears its ugly head.

I saw Cain speak about the rock. I found it disgusting and racist.

She knows how the nasty democrat media works.

Does she? She let K. Couric roll her big time, and Couric is gone, and Palin seems unsure of where she stands.

[How is Cain getting “bogged down”?]

Cain announced he is taking the next month off from campaigning to promote his book. (Which is code for, “My funding is rapidly drying up, since Straw Polls don’t mean squat.”)

It is disturbing to witness the agonizing desperation of Perry supporters as their candidate drops in the polls. Remarkably similar to Fredheads exploding when Thompson’s campaign didn’t meet expectations in 2007/2008.

Sarah Palin:“Herm Cain is the one up there who doesn’t look like he’s part of that permanent political class. He came from a working class family. He’s had to make it on his own all these years. We respect that. He has an automatic connection with the electorate. We can all relate to him. He knows the issues and problems we face every day and he’s determined to do something about it.”

Sarah Palin:"I am Herman Cain's biggest fan."

Perry continues to drop like a rock, and he has earned it. The more conservatives learn about his record, the more they'll support another candidate.

Perry is a lousy debater and in-state tuition for illegals made him vulnerable on immigration issues...........

But wait---did you know there was an ISLAMIC COURT operating in TEXAS? facilitated by Gov Perry. He has enabled Sharia Court in Texas and has allowed Sharia law to infiltrate the Texas legal system.

WEB SITE http://www.2ndcoa.courts.state.tx.us/opinions/htmlopinion.asp?OpinionId=14601

EXCERPT On September 25, 2002, all five parties to the divorce signed an "Arbitration Agreement." This document recites, in full, that the parties: after consultation with their respective attorneys, agree to submit all claims and disputes among them to arbitration by the TEXAS ISLAMIC COURT, 888 S. Greenville Ave., Suite 188, Richardson, Texas.

==========================================

Perry was instrumental in launching programs that trained Texas teachers on Muslim topics, in order to proselytize students in Islamic culture.

What does Perry plan for US justice and America's educational system vis a vis Muslims, if, by some quirk of fate he gets to sit in the WH?

Those who fought the "triumphal mosque" Muslims connived to build near hallowed 911 ground know that Muslims and Islam are NOT compatible with a Free Republic or our Constitution.

=========================================

REFERENCE Gov Perry addresses the Aga Khan: “It is a great honor to be in the presence of the Imam of 16 million Muslims around the world, a global humanitarian leader, a man of peace with a pluralistic vision for people around the world, His Highness, the Aga Khan, the 49th Hereditary Imam of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims. Your Highness, on behalf of 23 million Texans, and over 600,000 thousand Muslims living in Texas, I extend our heartfelt appreciation for your 50 years of great international leadership.

We are delighted to welcome you to the Lone Star State and participate in the celebration of your Golden Jubilee. I am also grateful to the many federal, state and local leaders in attendance tonight. By their presence, these special guests convey the profound respect that exists in the Western World for His Highness’ work and leadership.”

In April 2004, the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) and Univ of Texas-Austin finalized a grant proposal that created the partnership that became known as the Muslim Histories and Cultures Program (MHC). MHC recruited and directly trained 80 teachers affecting approximately 15,150 students of World History and World Geography in ten key Texas districts in 2005 and 2006. The purpose is two-fold 1) to fulfill Governor Rick Perry’s desire to better educate Texas teachers on Muslim topics and 2) to train teachers to use a cultural lens approach to understanding other cultures. Governor Perry was instrumental in getting this program off the ground.

Doesn’t really matter. Romney’s the “next in line” horse the Establishment has been working for all along.

Don't know if he's "earned it" or not. He's had some bad debates. The reason I hear is that he has been totally absorbed with fundraising, which is (so far) Cain's great weakness. One good debate performance and people forget about the one before that.

Those who rejoice in Perry's decline---and I do like Cain better---need to understand that this is all about nominating the Mittster. ANYONE can beat Obama, which is why we cannot permit Romney to get the presidency. If it's Cain, great. If it's Perry, I'm happy with that.
