Country music singer Hank Williams Jr. compared President Obama to Adolph Hitler in an awkward interview Monday morning on Fox and Friends. Williams called the golf summit the president had with Speaker of the House John Boehner one of the biggest political mistakes ever. It would be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu, OK?
Williams appeared on the program to share his thoughts on politics, but the segment got weird early on as the country music star curiously sulked with his arms crossed.
Anchor Gretchen Carlson asked Williams who he liked in the GOP race, which he replied Nobody. A shocked Steve Doocy exclaimed, Nobody!?
This triggered Williams to bash Obama and Boehners golf game and compare the president to Hitler. All three Fox and Friends anchors sat nonplussed in utter bewilderment.
Yeah, I dont understand that analogy, actually, responded a perplexed Brian Kilmeade.
Well, Im glad you dont, brother, because a lot of people do, Williams snapped. You know, theyre the enemy. Theyre the enemy. Kilmeade was thrown for a loop. Whos the enemy?
Obama! Williams thundered.
Following the bizarre interview, Carlson disavowed the comparison of the president to the Nazi leader. I just want to say that we disavow any of those comments or analogies that hes made, at least Im going to say that, disavow the analogy between Hitler and the president.
Watch Williams interview with Fox and Friends below:
oops I meant Netanyahu
Who in the hell are you to say when it’s a good time to call Obama what he is. There’s never a bad time to call this usurper exactly what he is. He is not legally the president of anything. He is the de facto ruler of an insurrection.
People like you should be made to register with the state lime sex offenders.
Go fry an egg.
face it...Hank is supporting Sarah, Big Time....
I hope someone from the Republican Party is listening to this. I’ll guarantee you that Hank is closer to grass roots than anyone in Washington is.
Thats a good tune. Been listening to McMurtry quite a while here. His daddy is a pretty good writer too. ;o)
If the NFL or ABC/ESPN cancels Hank’s contract for MNF, then to hell with them, I say. He can do some other type of football promo for FOX, or maybe, just maybe, people will realize just how liberal the powers that be at ABC really are, and demand his return.
He didn’t compare Barry to Hitler. He was talking about optics. FWIW, I thought his analogy was spot on, and that Carlson, who rails against PC, oughta practice what she preaches.
Wait a minute. I saw the interview. The quote in the above article is NOT accurate. Williams was talking about photos of people, not people per se. I’ll see if I can find an ACCURATE quote.
Thx for the link. FWIW, I agree with Williams about the optics. Note to the NFL and ESPN: Resist the impulse.
Yeah, that would be the end of me, lol.
Psst... Mussolini never made the trains run on time. Italian trains never have and never will run on time. He just made it so you couldn’t point OUT that the trains were late.
He was, from the little *I* know, a populist rabble rouser, probably in the mode of Huey Long or other great demagogues.
Therefore: Obama is like Bush!
(a chimpy bushitler war criminal)
I didn’t say the analogy was not apt. I just said I would have used different terms and that I thought a lightweight morning “smiles” show was not the best forum to discuss it.
Hank Williams can say whatever he wants to say. He certainly does not need you to defend him.
Before you fly off the handle next time, perhaps you should read the forum posts more carefully. It might stop you from making such an intemperate post next time.

Reductio ad Hitlerum, a logical fallacy in which one suggests that any similarity to the German dictator must lead to genocide. To put it in language Hank could understand, comparing your political opponents to Hitler makes you sound like a dumbass.
Are you ready for some Hitler? National Socialist Party? Here come Barry, Valerie and Michelle To get this Nazi party started The czars are getting ready Constitutions out of sight All my Fascist foes Are comin over tonight.....

ESPN just yanked Hank Williams for Monday Night Football, due to comments he made about Obama.
Someone should post another thread about this. ..Drudge top left corner.
