Thank you! The knee pad Perry supporters are funny. I don’t think pointing out a word that has been offensive to a group of people for the whole history of them is a bad thing. NIGGERHEAD Is also offensive to me because it conjures up old wounds that we have been trying to heal. Unless of course the media set Cain up with a 30 year old story. Which I think they did. So the culprit as usual is the media. Lets keep our focus on them. IMHO

Your correct and I'm disappointed with Rush regarding that. He (or his staff) were really “selective” in the way they framed that issue. However with regard to the Perry/Camp issue; I think Cain stepped over the line during the CNN interview. IMO he handled it more appropriately during the Fox appearance but went over the top on CNN. It's not a disqualifier for me, but I sure hope its a lesson learned for Cain.

Perry has spent hundreds of million of state dollars on border security

The feds spent billions on a virtual fence that did nothing. Spending money means nothing if the actions taken do not lead to comprehensive enforcement, and a fence is a vital part of any such enforcement. That is what Perry and his supporters are unwilling to admit.

Um Negro was not an offensive term, it was used for years and years. Might be offensive now but that was different then. Now NIGGERHEAD that is offensive.

Right. The FEDS did nothing. Perry will. Drones aren't a "virtual" fence (that's garbage speak for "whatever"). Perry wants the border SEALED. Then, and ONLY THEN, will anything else come to the table. And he said, no amnesty.

I thought this was bad, but I don’t think it was intentional.

I like Cain’s ideas, but the problem is that he doesn’t have any political experience, and he was suckered right into this and now the press is gloating. I think he should go off and run for governor or senator or something - or maybe be a Cabinet member in the next GOP WH - but I think he needs to have a little more experience in handling these “gotcha” moments.

Also, he did support Romney, so maybe there’s more here than meets the eye.

You should have had the sign removed and refused to ever drive that road again. How could you be so insensitive?

In all fairness, there’s a place in Maryland called Scagsville. I have often laughed when driving by the sign. I now wish to apologize to all Scags, just in case I ever decide to run for office.

That’s the ticket, it’s all Rush’s fault. It’s not Rush’s fault that Cain let himself get played by the media. Hopefully, Cain will have learned from this experience and it won’t be repeated.

I don’t care about some stupid rock and peoples “feelings”.

instead of deporting them

Not one of the present or maybe candidates is going to round up and mass deport illegals. Not one.

President Ike Eishenhouse was the last to do so in 1953 in Operation Wetback. He deported a little over a million illegals.

In 2009, the United States deported a record 387,790 people – a 5 percent increase over 2008. The deportation rate is down slightly from 2009, but the number of removals is still likely to be more than triple what it was in 2001.

An increasing share of deportees are immigrants who have been convicted of a crime, reflecting President Obama's desire to reorient the deportation process toward targeting criminals. Through Aug. 2, 51 percent of the 294,230 people deported this fiscal year were convicted criminals.

President Obama's aunt and uncle were not among them.

That's noble of you, I just hope you don't have to do it in person. :)

Why do you think the big moneyed group is trying to get Chris Christie into the race? (And I’ve heard if not Christie, Jeb Bush will come in like John McCain did!) Have you read “Family of Secrets”? It is a bone chilling, fascinating mystery every voter should read. Games are played that you wouldn’t believe, by whom you wouldn’t believe! Very sad.

I see no reason to mince words. Cain was race baiting, pure and simple. There’s no excuse for it. He should be ashamed of himself.

On the plus side, he hasn’t hurt his chances of being he Republican nominee. They were zero before yesterday. They’re still zero.

Right. The FEDS did nothing. Perry will.

Yeah, Perry will magically change the sloth and inertia of the federal government. Where have we heard that one before?

Drones aren't a "virtual" fence (that's garbage speak for "whatever").

They are as much of a solution as a virtual fence.

Perry wants the border SEALED.

So does every other politician. Talk is cheap. Integrated solutions matter. And a fence is a key part of such an approach. Just ask the Israelis.

Then, and ONLY THEN, will anything else come to the table. And he said, no amnesty.

I'm sure he can just change the meaning of the word like so many other folks do.

"Since Gov. Perry has been going there for years to hunt, I think that it shows a lack of sensitivity for a long time of not taking that word off of that rock and renaming the place," he told ABC's This Week. "Yes, it was painted over," he said. "But how long ago was it painted over? So I'm still saying that it is a sign of insensitivity."

here is Cain's words. He knew what Perry had said obviously and he tried to score point. I think he is in the tank for Romney..but, he still is tied for #2 with Newt in my book.

Illegals will self-deport if the employers will not hire them and the government will not give them free schooling, healthcare and other benefits.

We are seeing that already in Alabama merely because a court has upheld parts of their new law, amid wailing and gnashing of teeth by the MSM.

We are seeing that as well in Arizona with the requirement that employers check their people out with e-verify.

Perry needs to reverse course and follow what Alabama and Arizona are doing.

I'll post this back to you. But I find you people have made up your minds so it is probably a waste of my time. First off, the border is to be a fed responsibility but Perry who has spent 400 million dollars on his actions taking place on the border.

Under Attack - Greta On The Border, Part 1
Under Attack - Greta On The Border, Part 2

Link to a report on recent active taking place on the border by Perry's Texas Rangers Recon Teams

WESLACO — Answering a smattering of gunshots with a 300-round barrage should show drug runners - their inflatable rafts full of illegal contraband - that Texas law enforcement officers aren't messing around, authorities said.

He said a single shot against a U.S. law enforcement officer is "one too many."

"We are going to use overwhelming force. We're going to use tactics ... You shoot a law enforcement officer, you're going to get return fire," he said. snip....

A Freeper who lives in the valley, has said thank God for Governor Perry. IF it wasn't for his actions we'd been over run over and killed by now by the drug cartels. Freeper said...those blacks hawks come so low over our house they rip the shingles right off our roof.

This is the fence the feds have build.
