Why would this be a problem? Is God incapable of creating intelligent beings on other planets?

I always hate it when some SciFi author writes that religion was abandoned as soon as people went into space and saw there was no heaven above the clouds. I mean seriously. That is so stupid and preposterous. It is insulting on a vast scale. I worship a God that is far more vast than an infinite universe and far more mysterious than all the cosmos. There has never been anything discovered that cast the slightest doubt on that and there never will be. I guarantee the day we meet aliens there will be people working on translating the bible into their language (assuming they don't already have it).

I don’t think it would be a problem, myself.

But even if it were to be, it only becomes a problem when they actually find intelligent life elsewhere. So far, not a problem.

Because it would be in conflict with Genesis where the heavenly objects are there for "signs and seasons" not incubators for other life forms.

The question you ask is absurd in view of God's revealed Purpose. There are no "intelligent beings on other planets" because we know that Adam's fall brought "the entire creation" was subjected to futility under the penalty of sin (Ro 8); that Adam was given authority over all the Earth; and that Man was God's special creation.

Its not a function of whether God is capable of doing 'X', but whether 'X' is consistent with His Will.
