If the final choices narrow down to Romney and Christie, conservatives are going to wish they had supported a candidate from a big second amendment state to protect their gun rights. They are going to wish they had a candidate who proudly served his country and carries the values of an Eagle Scout. They seem hell bent on destroying the man.

Actually, I was offended by that as well.

Me too. I was offended both by Perry's "You don't have a heart" and Cain's statement about Perry. I wonder if Cain has ever gone into a library or bookstore having Huckleberry Finn without tearing out the offensive pages. Cain should not have opened his mouth without knowing the facts.

I have some major concerns with Perry, but let's not throw out leftist-style smears.

Great video. Not sure I like the 999, upside down 666. I think his response to the Perry N-head should have been, “So what?”

Cain just provided nearly ever other candidate with ammo.[against him]

That’s the trouble with rising to the top...it’s a long ways to fall.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t the black community (at least those of the Al Sharpton caliber) use the N word among themselves quite frequently? And I don’t believe it is a term of endearment when they use it either.

Got that right, I don’t think Republicans realize just how Liberal Christie is. If Christie got into the race they would be in for a rude awaking far too late to do anything about it.

If he's liberal as you say he is, his getting in the race can harm no one but Romney, so I say jump right on in. Let him and Romney split the liberal vote.

Good article. Cain is still better than Perry though.

Christie is more liberal than Perry or Cain. Christie, however, would make a fine president as would Perry or Cain.

To me, Perry still seems the best choice.

Romney and Huntsman are very bad choices.

The difference between Christie and Romney is that Christie fights with Democrats and the institutions of the left, and that Christie is sincerely pro life. Unlike most governors, he's cut off tax money to Planned Parenthood.

This field might be the best in my lifetime.

Can't we see this for what it is? An attempt to tear down Perry (by the racist inference) and Cain (by trying to "bait" him on the aforementioned issue) at the same time?

We're falling right into their trap.

I watched them and disagree.

Do you really expect that a black man (a REAL Black American, not a fake half-white one from Hawaii), who grew up poor in the segregated South in the 50s and 60s, who experienced real racism in his life (undoubtedly much more than Barry) would be just peachy keen with usage of the word “N****r” like it’s no big deal, then I don’t know what world you’re living in. It doesn’t make him any less conservative to feel that way.

But that “unlike most governors” does NOT include pro-2nd amendment (unlike Christie), pro-Life, anti-global warming (unlike Christie) Gov. Rick Perry.

********************

“Facing record numbers of uninsured women and families, Governor Perry has cut funding for family planning and tried to shut down the Planned Parenthood health centers that provide desperately needed care,” the email says, blasting Perry for signing a bill that revokes state taxpayer funding for the abortion business.

Planned Parenthood also criticizes Perry for signing a bill to allow women considering an abortion a chance to see an ultrasound of their unborn child beforehand, saying, “He’s determined to enforce a cruel law designed to bring politicians into medical examination rooms and trample the rights of women and their doctors.”

Nobody baited him. Cain knew about this before these shows and was ready with the way he was going to go on it — use to his advantage, the hell with the truth.

MSNBC Up Chuck Todd and Chris Matthews are really pushing hard for Chris Cristie this morning on Up Chuck Todds program.

They have not pushed this hard for someone since Michele Bachmann

Palin 2012 or bust

The msm has pushed hard for Romney and for Huntsman. Not sure if those too have, but the network has.
