On messaging Rick’s record of getting it on border horrors there are those on our side more interested in supporting the yakkers who talk the walk, the walk Rick owns. But it will pass. The record usually trumps fiction. His opponents are thin air, dwarfed by Perry’s accomplishment.
I believe (and hope!) you’re right.
Governor Perry is a man; he’s tough; he’s experienced.
He ain’t perfect. But I’m dadgummed if anyone in the race right now fits what I think we need right now.
We need an anti-Obama. Someone who’s not afraid of picking a position and sticking with it. Someone who’s done some political street-fighting.
And someone who’ll tell us what he thinks is the right thing to do even if he’s pretty sure we’ll squall when he says it.
