Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Sunday the Republican presidential contenders should've stopped the crowd at a recent GOP debate from booing a gay soldier.
McCain, certainly no stranger to presidential debates, added that in the heat of the moment, candidates often have a tough time reacting.
"I do," McCain said on CBS's "Face the Nation," when asked if the candidates should've stopped the reaction. "But a lot of times, when youre in a debate, youre thinking about what youre going to say, what the question is going to be. Its hard to react sometimes. But Im sure
I would bet that every Republican on that stage did not agree with that kind of behavior."
Has anyone thought that they weren’t booing him because he was gay, but because it was such a liberal special interest question to toss into the debate?
Well that’s what I thought it was......nary a peep about him proudly advertising his gayness but the question itself. Maybe I need a hearing aid......:(
Never has a Republican, done so much to enhance their stupidity quotient.
Two people booed the QUESTION, NOT the soldier!
What do you mean “should have stopped them”?
If there were a means to stop people from saying stupid things, you would be the first to know.
Oh, so now you have to be a Facebook member to comment at Politico? Sorry, but I don’t care enough to do that.
The only good thing this fool McCain ever did in his political life is to choose Sarah Palin as his running mate.
Other than that, he blows. And his wife Cindy and daughter Meghan are no prize packages, either.
Thanks for reminding us what we ended up with last time rabscuttle.
republicans should boo mcdoofus.
Bet he had nothing to say about any of the obama scandals. Did he mention fast and furious or Solyndra?
It's my party. All mine!
Thats good John.
Join the guilliotine brigade.
We wouldn’t want you to think or anything like that.

Folks, please keep Johnny McLame foremost in your thoughts as we continue to fight for a conservative to win the nomination. "Anybody but 0bama" is not good enough.
I HATE FACEBOOK!!!!
I don’t want any part of that crap, they are following people. They work closely with Obozo.
My friends keep begging me to sign on....NO way!
Who the hell cares if I just went to Wallmart to get a toilet plunger? And pictures....? I don’t want all my photos on the internet forever.
More pearls of wisdom from Senator “Above the fray”.

Goodbye - Elton John from Madman across the Water
“And now that it’s all over
The birds can nest again
I’ll only snow when the sun comes out
I’ll shine only when it starts to rain
And if you want a drink
Just squeeze my hand
And wine will flow into the land
And feed my lambs
For I am a mirror
I can reflect the moon
I will write songs for you
I’ll be your silver spoon
I’m sorry I took your time
I am the poem that doesn’t rhyme
Just turn back a page
I’ll waste away, I’ll waste away
I’ll waste away, I’ll waste away
I’ll waste away, I’ll waste away ...”
I intend to keep booing McCain forever, so...
Re: Facebook. Two words come to mind - narcissism and voyeurism. I’m on it and it does have some good aspects but in the main I find it distracting, time-consuming, and generally, a waste of time. It diverts me away from the permanent things; things like a good book, a fine sonata, a symphony, etc. I’ve never accepted the absurdity of gimcracks, gizmos, gadgets and gewgaws taking over my live. I do like to weigh in occasionally, but only occasionally; i.e., Free Republic.
