Huckabee looks again at Republican presidential bid

Mike Huckabee has been approached by Republican and conservative activists unhappy with the current crop of presidential hopefuls and he is considering entering the fray, two sources who have spoken with Huckabee told Reuters.

The former Arkansas governor, who made a splash by winning the Iowa caucuses as a candidate in 2008, announced last May on his Fox News show that he would not enter the race.

But the conservative Huckabee, who appeals to evangelical Christians and is seen as an effective campaigner, is taking another look at jumping in, said the two sources, who are close to Huckabee. They spoke to Reuters on the condition of anonymity.

"He is entertaining the request for conversations about it," one of the sources said. "I do not think it is a complete 100 percent 'I'm reconsidering' but he hasn't shut the door on it."

Ugh. God. Like a zombie or a vampire, just when you thought he was dead and gone and it was safe again, Nanny Huckabee—Compassionate Conservatism on steroids—rises from the grave. I won’t be voting if he is the nominee.

It’s one thing to be discontent with the field of candidates.

It’s quite another thing to then suggest Mike Huckabee as the solution.

—Oh for gosh sakes! This is getting ridiculous!—

It really is. I came in here to say this election cycle is getting stupid. I jokingly say that even I could beat Obama, but it looks like those that have ever really tried to be president smell the blood in the water and are jumping in with gusto.

Problem is, it isn’t Obama they are going to have to run against. It is all the other folks running against Obama.

But this craziness does expose just how awful Obama has been and how easy a lot of people believe he is going to be to unseat. Personally, I think the dems will do it for him.

Sorry its too late for him to enter.

He has too high Negatives.

He is more interested in Making money at Fox.

Fox would have to fire him first.

He carries too much baggage

Did I get all the Sarah Derangement Quotes right? I mean That's what I hear all time on Sarah, does it apply to Huckabee as well?

If Mike Huckabee is the solution...it must be a really stupid problem.

I’ve been saying from the start that its a weak field. Huckabee won’t make it any stronger though. Its either going to be Romney or Cain.
