There is a declaration from those at Occupy Wall Street on Facebook , of whom are stating a Call to Action.
As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies.
As one people, formerly divided by the color of our skin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or lack thereof, political party and cultural background, we acknowledge the reality:
that there is only one race, the human race, and our survival requires the cooperation of its members; that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their brethren; that a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power.
We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments. We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.
You'll note that since very few people have shown up for this rage, that it's been re-branded as a "VIRTUAL!" protest.
While I agree that WS is full of criminals who need to do real time for the damage they’ve caused, when you attract and gater aging hippies, Michael Moore, SUsan Sarandon, Noam Chomsky, assorted Lefties groups, you lose something in the argument.
I’m sure his nonsense was typed on that nice non-corporate made MacBook his parents paid for.
” wronged by the corporate forces of the world”
The only corporate forces of concern are those in bed with Obama’s administration on our tax dollar.
Big government stinks.
In short 'we are the world' are liberal elites and (some) members of the dem victim groups who prop them up...
The other night my husband was channel surfing and stopped at pmsnbc and lawrence o’dumbass was on, interviewing the leader of the whackjobs, michael moore as he was there with them..... of course larry was helping mikey make it look like it was this huge massive protest.....I actually threw up a little listening to their bullcrap..... I have to say it was the first time the phrase “unwashed masses” actually made sense.
Hmmmm. . .I'm not aware of any corporation that threatens you with jail or seizing of your assets if you don't give them your money. Government will do that in a heartbeat, however.
Here is a note to the Libs. If you want to occupy a city with a population of 8,364,000 you may need to bring more than a hundred protesters. Seriously if you can’t fill a single subway train you aren’t going to have much luck occupying the city. And as for blocking roads I have some advice, DO NOT STAND IN FRONT OF A NEW YORK CABBIE. They are non political and will run over anyone.
I actually find this story reassuring.
If these are the street troops of the Revolution, we have little to fear, I think.
As if they actually believed that...
Here's a good, logical progression from their "beliefs" that is guaranteed to make any leftist's head explode:
Watching leftists sputter with incoherent outrage: priceless...
The other fun exercise is to replace the word “corporations” with the word “unions”.
The leftists’ heads will explode for a second time...
“corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth”
Yeah, I hate it when they take my money and only give me goods and services in return. Errrrrgh!
Still no word about their demands. They won’t leave until their demands are met, which may be quite some time since they don’t have any.
