Biden: Charging Corporate Jets $100 Take-Off and Landing Fee ‘Not Class Warfare’ By Penny Starr September 30, 2011

(CNSNews.com) – Vice President Joe Biden said charging corporate jets a $100 fee to take off or land at U.S. airports “is not class warfare” but a “reasonable” way for executives and corporations to help pay for policing American communities.

“If corporate jets just paid a $100 fee every time it took off or landed in America, that would raise $11.5 billion,” Biden said, adding that the money could be used to “make sure the streets are safe.”

“So folks, this is not class warfare,” Biden said. “This is all about just being rational and reasonable.”

Let’s see the fine print, Joe. My bet is that your buddy Al Gore gets a ‘special’ exemption from your proposal.

Fallacy #1. If you charge corporate jets $100 each take-off and landing there won’t be $11.5 billion worth of take-offs and landings. It will be smaller, how much? Who knows, but I doubt it would be $11.5 bn.

Joe, just what does taking off or landing have to do with policing communities?

Now if you are saying I should pay a fee to take off in a B-52 to drop a load of bombs on one of our local ghettos, well, that would sound like a good idea to me.

Seriously, the G already has an excise or security fee/tax on tickets, which is also rising, so why the hell do you all need to garner more money...oh I got it, just like Alvin Karpas when asked why he robbed banks, answer, because that is where the money is.

You and your ilk are jokes. BTW, tell SFB (brains being the B in those letters) that AF1 should also pay this fee out of his personal funds.

What happens if I can afford the take-off fee, but not the landing fee?

Charging all planes the same wouldn’t be class warfare.

Charging planes as a function of weight or passengers or size wouldn’t be class warfare.

But, if Biden defends it and the Obamaloon proposed it...it IS class warfare.

And please, please Biden - get off the “gonna use this money to do something useful”.

We all know that liberals are corrupt, venal, and should all be in jail.

This guy is a mental giant!

How about if every public appearance, all travel, and all meals eaten by Congressman, Senators, and the Executive Branch were charged a $100 fee, paid out-of-pocket not by taxpayers?

There's billions to spare with that scenario, too, you dumbass.

Are there REALLY 115,000,000 take-offs and landings of corporate jets in this country every year?

57,500,000 flights?

I doubt it.

I get a kick out of Liberal politicians who rail against “greedy corporations” who are “nickel and diming” us, but who then can’t resist the urge to slap sneaky little fees onto every activity in our lives.

Oh, oh, I know this one. You pay the landing fee, but are forbidden to take off.

If you charge corporate jets $100 each take-off and landing they will just pass it along to the customers, kind of like the Debit Card fee due to the Dodd-Frank bill.

Hey Joe, let’s charge golfer’s a ten buck range fee too. Add that to the tax on whites tanning and it starts adding up! There must be a million activities we can tax so you can reward more of your cronies with government loans and handouts.

My thoughts exactly! Why the charade? Just send some government thugs into the boardrooms of these corporations and say “We need this much money, Give it to us or we shut you down”. Why waste time making up some lame excuse to steal other peoples money?

That breaks down to about 157,500 flights by CORPORATE aircraft per day, every day of the year.

Since the TOTAL number of flights of ALL kinds in this country is estimated at about 80,000 per day, there is obviously something wrong with Mr. Biden’s ‘math’.

At $200 per trip, $11.5 billion works out to roughly 50 million trips. I suspect that arithmetic is not one of Mr Biden’s strengths.

We have government employees in little, bitty airports all over this, getting a big check to count their cooties. I really do not give a damn what they charge, we have got to stop throwing money away.

This isn't about revenue, it's about satisfying some kind of pet peeve Obama has with the business jet crowd or private aviation in general.

This shows what a small minded, vindictive narcissist he is. I guarantee you that somewhere in his past, he felt slighted or was embarrassed by someone who had his own plane. Now it's payback and the more "typical" aircraft owners he can screw the better. He's very good at getting his foot in the door.
