America has gone soft because it’s rotting from the inside out starting in DC. Our political class are a bunch of criminals who are only in politics to enrich themselves. There are two paths to stop this erosion. A political revolution which we have seen with the Tea Party. The questions is whether it has legs and will bring forth sincere politicians who will do as they say and say as they do. The other, more common to history, is a bloody revolution, which I fear will end up happening in the next 20-30 years as our country continues to get raped by both parties and the living, tax paying citizens say enough is enough.

Great Obama, so cut the corporate tax rate and get us competitive again.

Democrat's anti business polices have weakened America and then they whine that the American people aren't what they used to be.

Obama is truly an anti Christ.

Obama said in an interview that “this is a great, great country that had gotten a little soft and, you know, we didn’t have that same competitive edge that we needed over the last couple of decades. We need to get back on track.”

Barry's malaise message: It's your fault, Americans.

Actually, there was some softness responsible for the present situation: the softness in the heads of those who voted for Obama (as well as the softness in the heads of those who refused to vote for the Republican candidate to demonstrate their ideological (read "idiotic") purity).

I believe in American softness, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British softness and the Greeks believe in Greek softness.

Yes. America has gone soft in the head. Thay's why the U.S.A. is teetering on the brink of destruction.

Civilizations fall because of internal rot, decay, and corruption--decadence.

American decadence exploded into full expression as the counter-culture movement of the 1960s.

The American people thought the counter-culture movement was embodied in flower children singing Kum Bayah. It wasn't. The embodiment of the counter-culture movement was Charlie Manson.

Today the consequences are obvious--but millions of Americans are oblivious to it all.

We will see the result of soft America in the next 15 years. Our little American children are being taught to hate guns, violence, don’t be competitive, and love the guys who kill Americans. Our little love bugs will be facing children that are being taught to strap on bombs and die for their cause, how to handle assualt weapons and missiles and hate Americans with a passion our kids will never understand.

I found this one fascinating.

Here you got The King of the Handout's POTUS endlessly portraying American’s as victims and proposing endless waves of handouts like keeping Americans on unemployment comp for years, now sounding like one of my Mises posts or like demonized Sharon Angle. Is he schizophrenic?

Has America “Gone Soft”?
I'm re-reading Steinbeck's Travels With Charlie and interestingly, more than a few "old timers" he meets ask the same question .... 50 years ago.

The evolution of Obama:
“It's Bush's fault”
“It's Wall Street's fault”
“It's Japanese tsunami's fault”
“It's it's the GOP’s fault”
“It's Tea Party's fault”
“It's corporations’ fault”
“It's the wealthy’s fault”
“It's Arab Spring’s fault”
“It's Europe's fault”
“I've been told I use “fault” too often..... so....”
“America's too soft”

Whatever Obama says now is simply irrelevant.

He's a placeholder at this point in a very bad situation.

Dismissive? Certainly. He's viewed here and in the rest of the world as impotent. He's degraded the presidency enough and that was the point.
