Sons of Anarchy ?
In CA I think a Crossman .177 pellet gun qualifies as an “assault weapon”.
In MI a .177 pellet pistol qualifies as a handgun.
I’m betting that none of these weapons would be illegal in Missouri, or most other states for that matter.
California. That’s all that needed to be said.
How is a gun illegal (no mention if modified to full auto)? There is no discussion in the article as to why they considered them illegal versus the one that he was showing someone that was “not illegal”?
I can buy a flare gun launcher that attaches to an AR off gunbroker.com, and that isn’t illegal and it isn’t a grenade launcher. Even if it were a grenade launcher, they didn’t find any grenades?
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

1. (Military / Firearms, Gunnery, Ordnance & Artillery) weapons collectively.
I’ve always wondered why the Arms in the Second Amendment seems to always be limited to small arms. While I can’t afford a Predator, I would feel more secure if I had one circling overhead protecting my home against those who would take away my constitutional rights.
WooHoo!!! My hometown is in the news!!! Go Vikings!!!!!
When discussing the 2nd Amendment, a lot of dumbass libs think they're so slick when they rejoin, "So you think people should be able to own nuclear weapons?" My answer is, "Of course."
All major weapon systems, even if built under government contract, start out their lives in private industry, and are in fact, "privately" owned until the government purchases them and takes ownership. And in fact, no, "privately owned" nuclear weapon has ever been used in anger; it's only when they are in government hands that they become dangerous.
At the time of the American Revolution, perhaps the most devastating weapon system on earth was the Ship of the Line, which could pull into a harbor and reign devastation on an entire port city. The Continental Congress contracted a number of such privately owned ships, and were not doubt fully cognizant of the role they had played when drafting the 2nd Amendment.
Kingsburg's a small 'swedish' town with lots of good people and maybe a perfect place to hide amongst. And it does have more than it's fair share of crime.
We recently had a rash of burglaries... me being one of them. And there have been many murders and shootings.
This one bares notice. This occurred last year. Just around the corner, a very nice home was surrounded by 20-30 swat teamers at 7 in the morning. Turns out the folks were muslim and were selling bootleg CDs. It was the second time they have been arrested for this. They are still in the house.
1) took dozens of illegal assault weapons off the streets...
They weren't on the street, they were in the plaintiff's collection.
2) illegal assault weapons
Only in California. They were on the "Kaiser" list; (weapons listed by manufacturer and model by the California Supreme Court in 2010 to clean up the vagueness of the Roberti-Ross mess from 1989. These weapons are legal in most other states and are not prohibited by federal law..
3) had thousands of rounds of ammunition that could go through several walls of a house.
M855 ammunition for AR-15s is legal in California and readily available. This surplus ammo is not sought out for it's steel core bullet but rather it's brass case which is manufactured at the Lake City Arsenal in Missouri and highly desirable for reloading.
4) Investigators say the most shocking discovery came when they found a grenade launcher
The 37mm flare/grenade launcher found on AR-15s is legal in California. The grenade launcher, attached to the end of the barrel of an SKS 59/66, is classified as a destructive weapon under Californian law and as such, requires permission form the California DOJ to possess.
5) had thousands of rounds of ammunition
Most target shooters and plinkers have thousands of round of ammunition at home.
